so i've tryed the unflooding procedure.

I've got new plugs in, trailing on top, leading on bottom.

Belive i've connected the plug wires correctly.

T1 top left T2 top right

L1 bottom left L2 bottom right.



removed plugs, egi fuse, turned over for 10 seconds , pause, repeat for about a minute.

squirted oil in the plug holes, installed new plugs.

connected the plug wires, installed EGI fuse.

turning over and nothing.

Battery is starting to get low again and i don't have my own charger.



I'm really upset and frustrated with my car right now, is there anyway someone could come help me with it?

I don't have a way to to a push/pull start myself here.

i live in shoreline and i'd buy you lunch or drinks or something.

some times they can be a roal bitch to refire. you should see what we have to do on some of the rx-8s that are flooded. but have you cranked the car with no plugs in it to clear it out yet? and are you sure the motor has good compression.

try having someone push start u or pull start u, i allways use that as a last resort for very flooded cars.

agreed pull starting works well even on the motors with very very low compression.

It may just not be turning over fast enough and you may need a starter... Just a suggetion though.

gasoline doesn't lubricate and seal like oil does. since u have tried it soo much that leads me to believe that your seals are just covered in gas, which means you have no compression. try ATF as a last resort.

You need to charge that battery (if you are not cranking fast enough you will just reflood it each time)! pull the plugs, clean them (if you have a gas stove or a culinary torch, use it to burn off the gas and heat up the plugs). disconnect the the fuel pump (or shut it off with the pedal). crank it until nothing comes out the plug holes. Double check you are getting a good fuel mix by letting the pump work again (it should come out as a nice clean puff of gas). reinsert heated clean plugs and...





Sorry, I don't want to restate anything you have already done. But you have to get the flooded gas out and the gas must be off the plugs (very important).



You can quickly check for spark while they are out (ground them), check compression (by the puffs of gas), fuel (puffs of gas), and air (check your MAF). That is all you need to start the car.
