So where is the refill plug on my tranny? I took off a bolt that I thought could be it, and there was a rubber seal on the inside.... Is that the refill plug? On the top of the tranny? I have the clutch installed, and I'm ready to re-install the tranny, but I don't want to install it yet because I want to make sure I can fill the damn thing with fluid the RIGHT way. My stupid Haynes manual says nothing about refilling the tranny other than just to do it.... OK, so where is the Input for the oil? Keep in mind I am just learning one step at a time how to fix Sh=t on my RX-7. Please don't flame me, I am just trying to learn. Thanks

It's not on the top it's on the side. Can't remember which side (Drivers I think) but it's on the main body of the tanny. It won't hurt the tranny to put it in and take it to Jiffy lube or one of thoughs places close to you and have them service it for you. Last time i did it only cost me 5 bucks or so. Just don't do any Hotrodding till you get it filled.

this might not apply to 1st gens but on 2nd gnes theres a square bolt on the driver side of the trany in the middle, that u take off and thats the fill hole.

make sure you fill it after the driveline has been installed, otherwise the new fluid will pour out the driveline hole haha...
