There are several good shops and reputable builders, hetes a list of all the proven and community supported:

Pineapple racing- Portland.

http://www.pineappleracing.com/

Atkins rotary- Puyallup.

http://www.atkinsrotary.com/

FD3S Engineering-Canby

http://www.facebook.com/pages/FD3S-E...g/287038526811

Ron Lapollis-Rouge River

In house builder, expensive but proven.

Jesus Rodriguize-Washington

(aka armyofone) in house builder, proven to be one of the best in porting.

Turbojeff- Eugene

In house builder and tuner. Proven to be good.

Kurt Robinson- Molalla OR

In house builder, seems to be hit or miss.

Jerry's little car shop- Kent WA

http://jerryslittlecarshop.com/history.htm

Places to stay away from, bad builders and shady business practices:

Bob Putman- NW auto tech Albany Oregon

This person has faulty tools, has provided poor rebuilds and preys on the inexperienced and new to Mazda rotarys. He has no trained or qualified staff. He is NOT a rotary shop, just a dealership!

Robert white- in house builder. The last 12a this "shop" put out he admitted to installing the oil control rings upside down destrpying the irons causing them to need lapped and taking the majority of the irons life away. This is one of many many complaints this builder has on his reputation. Beware.

Robbie long-canby. In house builder and installer. Watched a video and has been claiming to be a installer. Killed 2out of 2 installed engines. Will also take parts and replace them with lower quality. Uses Craigslist to advertise.

Hope this list helps people find the right place to take there rotary car for work!

I was shocked to see robert white listed under not recommended. He rebuilt and street ported my S4 NA and I've have close to 12k miles on it with no problems. He was very easy to work with I'd recommend him to anyone, although he isn't building engines anymore.

Anytime I have a problem with my car, he gives me advice and helps me through repairing or replacing whatever it needs (not related to engine).

No I'd never repeat louder NEVER let robert white near a rotary. 100% rotarded meaning he don't test well. He is quite the bs artist, and a thief imo.

Chris Weigel from Corvallis Oregon (bearzah, here on on the other clubs) turned out to be a really bad person. Let's just say when the video ends showing that cops just came in his house to make arrests for child molestation of a 5 year old, you can assume that he should not be trusted. He works at the Deptarment Of Transportation on 34th street in Corvallis and the crimes were committed on Villa street in South Corvallis.

I let it go for years, however he is still at it!
