Is the GSL fuel tank the same as the GSL SE tank?



How can you tell if its a GSL SE tank?

I don't think that they are the same tank. But I am not exactly sure. However I do know that the SE tank has baffles and a larger pick up. If I were you I would drop the tank and check the size of pick up that is on your current tank.



With your hp and turbo setup you will need the baffle so that when you are boosting you won't run lean and the larger pickup for the pump. Aeromotive "requires" 10AN line for the low pressure side. (tank to the pump)

Yeah the 79 tank wont do for my application. I think I have a gsl tank in the back yard, and possibly a gsl se tank, but not sure which one is which...lol The fuel lines are big enough, but not the pick up.



I need to do the change before abf if possible, so if anyone just happens to have a gsl se tank, please let me know.



Im considering tearing apart IoTus to get my car working right since its a gsl se, and if possible don't really want to do that.

If the GSL-SE has a fuel pump in the tank then they would be totally differant I would think because of the high pressure pump.







You could keep your fuel tank setup if you had a low pressure pump at the fuel tank and a fuel surge tank between the Low pressure and high pressure pumps.

Lucky for me im a parts saving *****. I found a GSL SE tank in my pile of parts. now i have to try to change the size of the pickup line. while im at it im gonna change the size of the return also.

no the gsl-se does not have an in tank pump...

Gsl-se fuel puck up is 1/2 an inch and all 12a cars were 3/8th's inch. the return on se was 3/8ths and the return on all 12a cars was 5/16's.

So will a gsl tank feed a webber 13b? not as much fuel pressure required...... right?

for Iotus you should be completely fine using a 12a tank for her because less HP and fuel pressure. So if it came down to it you "could" take Iotus' tank and put one of your GSL tanks in her.

Yep It's good up to 250 hp I think. That's what I'm running with my blow through. ANd thats what I ran carbed. the return istoo small to run a return stye regulator though. I had to get some 3/8 inch copper tube and bend it from engine bay back to the tank there it's the stock 5/16ths for only about 4 inches.
