I met up with flamingnos today up on Stevens pass. I bought some fenders and a front clip from him and got to see his rx-3. I had a pic of the engine but it didn't turn out. On a good note my car cruised up the pass with no problems :bigok: Flamingnos had some pretty loud exhaust but I don't know, I think my bumblebees might of been a bit louder lol. Anyways it was a good drive and cool to meet another rotary brotha.

Right on! So how's the exhaust treating you? Nice and loud, huh?

So your engine is broken in now? That exhaust gets nice and loud after 5000 rpm. I used to love hearing it echo off all the buildings around me when I punched it.

My new exhaust is working out ok, I have not driven the car much. But I might be soon because the tranny on the AE is fucked. I keep losing 1st gear, but then it'll come back. One of these days I'll drive down to Corksport and get a j spec tranny.

How much is a J-spec tranny down there? My engine is pretty much broken in, I have like 830 miles on it. Tomorrow I am picking up an aluminum hood for it. Kind of expensive at 200 bones, but oh well. I am going to try and get the ****** painted this week. I am just going for a cheapy. If I can't get it painted in time I might just have my friend do it at his house. The only thing I have left to attend to now is the rocker panel damage. I wish it wasn't so messed up.

I think they are around $300. It's been a while since I called them and asked. That's cool about the aluminum hood, $200 isn't bad.

300 is cheap for a used tranny. I remember riding in it that one time and the shifter was mass loose while it was in gear. he he, my new fenders say Turbo II on them. All I need is a fake IC and fake blow off valve and I am set!

I fixed the play in the shifter with new bushings, the best $12 I've spent on that car.

could be interesting, seeing as california is super-tough with their emissions laws. i wonder how much they'd put up with loud exhausted cars that obviously don't pass emissions?

I have some silencers that CABRIO made for the tips which quiet it down a bit. I don't have them in right now though, lol.
