well its not a huge problem. Just one that came at the wrong time. My plan was to have my car running tonight. everything was on. timing was set. checked for fuel leaks near the Injectors before i started it up. all seems good. i go to add water and IT all comes out agian. i take a closer look, damn water pump rusted out in the front.. second one too.. so i goto shucks at 8:59 pm and they are locking the door, i said all i need is a waterpump. it will only take a second. the friggin guy says. sorry its been a long day, I wanna go home. go figure. and is smucks open tomorrow? i was so mad i didnt look too see if they are open...

so that was my day... how was everyone elses day?

partly mazda 05-27-2006 12:05 AM

If it was me I would run it with the cap off., but then whats another day or two. hang in there buddy.

Codeblue 05-27-2006 12:35 AM

man that sucks, I'm sure they will be open tommorow. most places are

pichitsideways 05-27-2006 12:38 AM

look for a 24 hour parts place. There is one here in portland theres got to be one up there

VROOOOOMZOOM 05-27-2006 03:44 PM

problem fixed. schmucks was open. but they didnt have the water pump i needed. so i had to drive to shorline. anyways 2 hours later i got the pump its all in. So before i put the UIM on i Just sat it in place so i Could hook up all the fuel lines and i pressured up the system. that was last night. so i pop of the fuel line on the back of the fuel rail on the secondary injectors. and a huge puff of air and fuel go everywhere, So that answers my Question if there are any leaks or not... Looks like things are a GO.. so far. more later

jenkin 05-28-2006 12:42 AM

that would be kick ass if you could do that.. but i already have everything together with the old fuel rail. i guess i can fix the PD later. like SOON later. I do need a radiator before i can drive it very far, Fuelrail without a PD and a metal radiator would be a plus. that would make my engine swap complete!

John! I have not started the car yet so if you would like to come by`for the First start up you are welcomed too!!! that way someone can keep an eye on the oil pressure temp and all those things while i look under the hood for any Possible Problems. I am going to wait till monday or tuesday to start her up. I am pretty sure that i have the cas set right. however I dont really want to turn the key yet. because if i am wrong it could maybe wreck somthing. i have turned it over with out fuel and spark. sounds good. let me know if you can make it.. if not I could use someone to give me a hand! thanks

I Dont get it, and now i dont Know what too do... OK so the engine ran fine. ran into a few Problems. no big deal. i can handle the fuel rail leak i thought i fixed. so i have to take the UIM off agian and see what the deal is there. and ofcourse i need to put another rad in. But this is what gets me.. i have this Vibration. and it seems to be the torque converter.. it ran Superlow on Fluid and would not go in reverse or forward. So i thought no big deal the fluid is uneven inside it! So i pick up some more ATF and put some in. reverse and forward work Fine now!!. But i still have this Huge Vibration. it gets worse when i give it gas. It cant be the engine. grrrrrrrrrr i am so going nuts .. anyone have this problem with an auto before?

VROOOOOMZOOM 05-29-2006 10:30 PM

would it have anything to do with this Microchip looking thing that Grounds too the Trany? the Wire broke on it.. i dont even know wtf it is.........

Codeblue 05-30-2006 12:04 AM

I bet to have a brokin motor or trany mount. what kinda of driveline do you have and is it balanced

I just put the engine in few days ago.. the engine mounts are fine.. the driveline is fine. I didnt even take it out of the driveway yet, it Vibrates in park or nutral.. does not seem to matter, When i put it in gear and give it gas it Pulses even worse.

KompressorLOgic 05-30-2006 12:20 AM

are all weights the same? OR are they weighted for the engine that it came on? because if they are all Diffrent that could be a problem. OR does the Flex plate have to be mounted to the torque converter the same as when it came off? im lost here... I think i used my rear weight from another engine.. can this be the problem?

yea it was put on.

VROOOOOMZOOM 05-30-2006 02:32 AM

I have been Brian storming. and this is what i came up with. If it is a rear weight Problem i should beable to put another weight of somekind on the flex plate to see if i can smooth it out.. im thinking of what i can put on there. its a shot in the dark

VROOOOOMZOOM 05-30-2006 02:40 AM

Brain storming that is

jenkin 05-30-2006 03:52 AM

I'll send the counter weight and flex plate that were on that motor over, but I dont get back to yakima til thursday am.....

or you can drop it by when you have time. shipping it can get spendy.

I still need to pull my engine agian first, Wonder If someone can balance my engine if i take it out agian. i am thinking of taking the flex plate bolts off first. too see if it still vibrates. that will at least rule out the trany.

it is a Slight possibility that the flex plate is not 100% lined up.. the bolts o have some room too move when its not tight... i will have to rule all that out before i pull the engine agian.
