Do any of you in Spokane have a car cover that you really dont use. Blue is leaving this Friday and need to cover her up for her travels. My car cover got ripped on the way to sevenstock. Let me know if you have one. Thanks

Hey can you look around Kalon, I will owe ya. Blue is leaving friday and I want to wrap her up really good since she has a 6 hour traveling day...I will be crazzzzzzy I will be crzzzzzzzy.

You'll want *soft* cotton against the car.. anything else would be rough and constantly rubbing and chafing against the paint, which would be unavoidable no matter how you tie it down. Unfortunately, car covers with soft cotton linings are not cheap ($170+ new), and probably not strong enough to survive the trip without ripping.

I think you should try to find a "car bra" for Blue, then have a couple of strong margaritas and relax.. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

P.S: I remember seeing a car being transported with a car cover on it. The car cover had been ripped by the wind, and was flapping around. It looked pretty silly.

a cover will do more damage to the car then just leaving it off

trust me- people try this with boats all the time and regret it later

CODE BLUE 2 02-22-2006 09:02 PM

Yeah probably right. Well thanks to Northwest auto and paint...they have fixed the car a couple times since the paint job, whats a couple more rock chips. At this point just doing the turbo swap will be worth any dings it might get from the trip. Thanks Kalon for bringing that car cover over anyway... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683329.gif

Are there any boat manufactures in the area. If there are you could put blanket on the car and have them shrink wrap it like the do the boats.

CODE BLUE 2 02-23-2006 07:29 AM

I would probably do that if my car was really really nice, but lol Im sure things will be ok.

"B" day is approaching very fast....count down 1 more day...eeee....lol
