Hi Folks,

Racing time is coming up again!

Sunday May 27 BSCC will be holding a practice event.

(BMWGirl will be chairing this event)!

The SCCA will be running a race at the other end of the track.

This is a really good chance to see a bunch of high end sweet cars.

(I am hoping to have my Rx2 out at the practice).



The next day (5/28) BSCC will be running a race.

Really hope to see you there!

Can't wait - practice day is a great way to refresh your skills and have you ready to go for the race the next day.

can i come practice and hook the race day? (i offered to host a 7 meet in yakavegas and dinna pay attention to bscc schedule...)

my bad.

i could bring the gsl se and see how sticky the azenas are. they didnt have much traction when i was trying to load the car onto the wet trailer from the snow covered ground in puyallup, but i guess that is another story...



is JEB bringing out the race car???? i wanna ride!!!

of course you can come out to the practice and not the race!

I do hope that I will be able to bring out the Rx2, we shall see!

JEB, does the rx2 currently run? M and I were wondering, Also does it have a passengers seat? I definately going to bring out the camera for that day, You are just bringing it out for the practice day? Why are our events so far apart, I hate waiting.

What I do like, is that pretty soon we will have events right after another. 5/27, 5/28, 6/10, 6/29 (then a long break).



At this point the Rx2 does not run.

It needs the fuel tank installed

Needs a fuel pump

needs to have some wiring around the battery taken care of.

Plus the basic service you would do to a car you have never driven before.



I hope to spend some time on it this saturday... I will let you all know how it goes.

Hey, do you have any NA fuel pumps around?

I have a new stock first gen pump, but I would like something healthier.

Oh ya, I am planning on putting some different tires on the car so I do not use up the slicks getting the car running right.

as in fc na fuel pumps? i could come up wtih a couple used ones without too much trouble, if that is what

you are looking for, and i am working in oly per diem, so i still drive back and forth each week... just no apt for home base anymore.

(glutton for punishment). pm me if that you could use one.

My Rx2 is Close…

But, not quite there.

Ok, I have everything in (built a wiring system, bled the brakes, added fluids to engine, tranny, rear end, fixed a bunch of little quirky things) and it is almost going.



Have spark, compression, and fuel, yet I just cannot get it spinning fast enough to kick. I have seen this before with other rotaries that have sat long periods. In the past, I have drug behind a truck and spun up the engine until they catch. After that they seem to start up with the starter. That is my next step, just not in time for tomorrow’s practice.

Crap it, thats got to be frustating, So the 7 it is, Your more than welcome to try out my new factory big brake kit. See ya tomorrow.

sounds like fun fun fun. I will be going on a road bike ride today. It will get me into to shape but I dont know if the fun level will be up as high for me as any one racing today. cheers from 1 noble rider

Well, it was a blast today!

Michelle did a great job as chair and we got tons of runs in (12 or 14).

Monday should be great as well.

Can't wait to get out there today. Glad I got to sleep in a bit yesterday. THat many runs is pretty tiring. See you all at the track today.

WOw, what a great weekend of racing. Sorry for those of you who didn't show up. It was a ton of fun.
