Jodi is leaving on Friday so it's closing early.

JEB - looks like you have lots of competition in Sports C this year https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.gif

jenkin 03-13-2007 05:00 AM

hey, if i registered for novice in the am and run for time only in the afternoon, do i pay for 2 sessions? sorry if this has already been answered, but i think i am in denial...

herz3mc 03-13-2007 07:06 PM

Yup, but if you pre-reg for both (like we did) you will $5.00 off each time. Plus if your a member you get another $5.00 off. This would make it $25 (pre-reg member)a session rather than $35 (non pre-reg, non member).

You are sure up early/late.

hey, did kettle score the free numbers? i need a 52 times two!

Kill No Cone 03-13-2007 08:41 PM

Hey, anyone else going to the races?

kettlman 03-13-2007 11:29 PM

i'll bring them. i got 87 so 52 is yours.

Hyper4mance2k 03-14-2007 01:43 AM

i'd like too, but I can't race the miata all season, and it'd be pointless to just lose all the acrewed points when I swiched back to the FB.

No wheels and tires for the front of the fb until next wednesday for me. Looks like I will be flogging the M coupe, thank god for the street tire class.

herz3mc 03-18-2007 11:37 AM

see you there. I'll try to remember to take pics this time.

Kill No Cone 03-18-2007 10:18 PM

Ok, so was that fun or what?

What a great day of racing!

kettlman 03-18-2007 10:37 PM

was a good day. i gotta find out if my old tires are good enough to run. they are worn, no threads showing, but worn.

woundup7 03-18-2007 10:51 PM

Wow what a blast. That has to be the fastest autocross course I have ever done. 75 in second gear, is a little scary the first couple times.

Adrian I have your tools at my house in federal way. I sent you a pm with my number. Nice to see some Izzy's people out there again.

Kill No Cone 03-18-2007 11:30 PM

Very little conage today, the course was wide enough you could just about float through it. Just Bill had to slow it down in a couple spots from what PCA was running.

So, Chris you two were running 75? Damn! I knew I was getting deep into 3rd, but I did not look down. Just too much fun!

Yup, It was lots of fun. I finally got the courage to go fast on the last run and took 3 seconds off. Chris still beat me by 1/10th though. I took a couple spots in a different line and used less brakes too, that seemed to help. If only I had a couple more runs.

Our rev limiter kicks in at about 75 mph in 2nd and we both hit it on our faster runs just before we hit the braking zone so we didn't need to shift.

Here's some photos I took. See y'all on April 15 for event #2

kettlman 03-19-2007 12:27 AM

so what were the times for the second half? my best was like 61.9, but damn my car slides too much. better tires and i think i will be up there.

jenkin 03-19-2007 10:55 AM

times aren't posted yet, but my best was 65.4 once i finally got through without missing a gate (or four). damn, i'm gonna need a map and a seeing eye dog to make it through one of those clean in the first 4 runs!!!!

Kill No Cone 03-19-2007 09:31 PM

I really liked this course and I was getting faster each time. (I love hot sticky tires). My best time was 52.9, I believe I could have beat that with a bit more practice. (We all say that!) I guess I will just have to keep coming back!
