I need to get my car fixed without paying an arm and a leg in the process. I was wondering if any of you guys had heard about Kearney Automotive in Capitol Heights in Maryland or had any experience with them. Any help with finding a shop or reviews about Kearney's would really be appericiated. I talked to their mechanic and she sounded like she knew what she was talking about; also she said that she has worked on rotaries for about 22 years now. Please help guys, thanks a lot.

What do you need done?

I have nothing but good things to say about Kearney's. They are very helpful with anything you need. Linda does know what she is talking about when it comes to rotaries. Jon is a little bit more knowledgable and will talk with you for hours about your car and give you recommendations. I was referred to Kearney's by a friend that had a engine rebuild there for his 83 12a to turbo ll conversion. They do very nice work for a labor charge of 60.00 an hour. I am dropping my RX-2 off there on Wednesday for a complete custom exhaust. Tell them the guy with the RX2 recommended you!

Thanks a lot MANN. Do they know their stuff with 3rd gens though. Linda was very helpful and smart. I had a funy moment with her, where in the end i looked like a jackass https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png , but its okay.

93 R1 i actually have a bad fuel leak, it is so bad that i can see it dripping constantly from teh bottom of the car, it also smells like fuel everywhere, and last friday i started the car and it was smoking from the turbo area, it was white smoke that smelled like fuel burning.

Thanks for the input guys, any help as always is very much appericiated.

If i were you i wouldn't start my car anymore! its probably coming from the pulsation damper on the fuel rail.

Anyway a rotary is a rotary no matter what gen it is. Any1 with knowledge and experience with 1 gen should be able to work on another gen. If your only trying to diagnose a fuel leak then that is very straight foward. Fuel enters the engine from only 1 place. The only rubber lines that could leak are the ones that run from under the intake to the fuel rails. The heat from 10 years of driving most likely baked the rubber lines and now there leaking!

This is a very serious fire hazard!!! leaking fuel on a rotart engine is trouble and will lead to an engine fire and a wasted car. Rotaries put out alot of heat and will make small pieces of metal heat up and spark that fuel. tow it!

ohh also,

coolant smokes white, you might have a leaking coolant seal to your turbos also.

If you have a major fuel leak and coolant burning......the smell of the fuel will overpower the smell of the coolant.

Thanks a lot MANN, i am definately tow it to them. Hopefully everything will be fixed and good to go. I hope it is just the fuel and no anything else. Well we will see. I know that the lines are old and stuff and the dampner is bad, but i hope it is not a coolant leak. Well thanks guys for all the input and help. Mike
