Ok guys I am headed to Dover Air Force Base in Delaware in the fall and thought I might let you guys know who I am, and what I am all about

My name is Sean, I currently live in Okinawa Japan. I am 32 years old, married and have 3 children. I work as a Special Purpose Vehicle Craftsman in the Air Force. Basically a big name for a heavy equipment mechanic. I joined the Air Force in 1990.

I currently drive the Skyline in my Signature but will be building a FC when I get back. Not sure but probably a series 5 , possibly a Vert. Not sure yet, have to see what the market is like in the states. Seeing as I will be paying the price for a FD in Japan for a FC in the states.

I should be in the area around mid to late Sept. and hope to get out and see what the area has to offer as far as rotaries.

I have a basic timetable on when I want to be done, but as we all know, time and money are big factors in all of this.

Anyhow just thought I would let you guys know...I'm coming to your area, and I will be hunting https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

you can buy mine, a nice s5 with a t04 and added other stuff. all it needs is more fuel and a computer. well, a fmic too. after that it will be hardcore. at least for around here anyway

Cool. Bring the damn skyline

Fd3BOOST 06-07-2003 05:42 PM

Well be here Sean, to bad you couldnt be here for Rotorfest at the end of the month.

TheCamel 06-07-2003 07:53 PM

Yeah I wish I could be out of here tomorrow, but no dice.

The Skyline is too much of a pain in the ass to bring back, its better that I leave it here anyhow. The cost to get things in the states is too high, and I tend to break expensive **** when it breaks.

Currently have a blown HKS 2530 on #1 turbo, and the transmission is on its last legs. We have a drag race here on June 15th, that will be her retirement run, blown turbo, bad mission and all. After that she goes under the knife, used tranny, different turbo(s) and on the lot for sale. I will miss her, but if I don't get rid of her, I can't play the rotary game.

You'll have fun when youget out of Humidity central.

TheCamel 06-08-2003 12:27 AM

Yeah but I am not looking forward to snow again https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...>/rolleyes.gif

I left Minot North Dakota to come here, nothing like leaving the arctic to a tropical island, and now I get to go back to snowfall again, no traction, and cops that know how to use a radio. This is gonna be a reverse culture shock all over again

djgiantrobot 06-08-2003 02:29 AM

don't worry, i hardly ever snows here.....oh wait that was last year

we had fun this year

Don't worry man Dover normally doesn't get alot of snow. This is because of the bay. It tends to warm the air and cause any snow to turn to rain. Trust me I lived there for 7 years before I got into the AF in 97. I'm now stationed at Dyess AFB in Abilene TX. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683621.gif BTW how is your job as a special vehicle mechanic? I'm crosstraining out of the loadmaster carreerfield due to medical reasons and your job is one in my list of choices. Do you like it? How are the CDC's? Are they huge? Is the job really demanding or is it kind of laid back? Just wondering. Thanks. Matt
