I showed up in one piece, so did the RX-8. The 8 was a bit beat up by sand and snow but all in all the trip went well. Almost 1700 miles in a 26 ft Penske truck wasn't fun. I like to drive fast but around here you don't have a choice of when you want to do it, you have to drive like a madman all the time. With the altitude being so low I can breath now. I used to live at 6000 ft, and work at 7000+ ft. Not to mention about 10-15% more HP, my RX-8 is quicker and louder :-). fd3boost, I live right off of RT 1 and 495.

I tell you what, that elevation mod is the most expensive mod I've ever done, cost me about $6K to move out here, LOL. I live on the south side of Route 1, about two blocks from 495. Drop me a PM, maybe we can set something up for this weekend. Invite Rikki too...

Are you living in the Montabello condos? Or off Fort Hunt road? Either way Its about 20 min from my house. I am just across the Woodrow Wilson bridge , then south about 20 miles yadda yadda. I bought my first Fd from a guy over there off the GW Parkway near Mount Vernon.

I live about a 1/4 of a block off of RT 1 and 495 (ouside the beltway), Exit 177C if I remember correctly. I forgot to check this thread! This upcoming weekend for sure we can set something up. Round up the local RX guys and maybe we can hit Old Town up, or whatever is cool. (I have no idea what the hotspots are around here!)

Well , this weekend is my birthday so I have no idea what the plan is. I'm gonna be 28 https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683651.gif and my wife may or may not have something planned for me. Mazda rev it up is this weekend at Fed Ex field. Thats where the Redskins play FYI. Also MIR( Maryland International Raceway is having Midnight madness this Friday which I might be going to. Any interest in going to that? Its about an hour drive for you. Other than that well just have to play it by ear.
