When I first mover to Fla. I made friends with these people who took me to a local creek to drink beers and swing off this rope into the creek.



A Manatee wondered over to see what was up. I had no idea what a Manatee was I was from NY and back in '86 no one cared about them.



I swang out and landed on top of this thing and about ran on top of the water to get away from it. I thought it was a gator. My friends were rolling around laughing at me. After they explained what it was I went back in the water and swam with it. It was really gentle.



They are really cool. Its sad how many have been killed and injured. Hopefully they will thrive again soon.

then we could build a saltwater habitat and demand they send them there.... then we can sell them for 100x the price we paid since we'll have exclusivity rights hehe.
