Damian,

I was just thinking (dangerous I know) but if Ian has asked you and Ron to resign your positions and you and Jim started this forum, will we not be able use the MRCCFL name under the clubs or as paying members are we allowed to do so. Like I said earlyier I posted twice to the main list but was moderated. It contained nothing about the demise of the MRCCFL and had nothing to do with shady election tactics or personel attacks. I don't know if there is anything to defend here but I bet Ian gets in contact with somebody to have it dropped from this forum. Jack

Yeah it is dangerous when you start thinking Jack.....https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

As for this forum, Im not sure what will happen. I guess its a waiting game at this point. But Jim and/or Phins would have to answer what will become of this section. But hey lets cross that bridge if/when it comes.

Now lay off on the thinking, you are only allowed to do it so many times a year.....https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

Jims5543 12-24-2004 06:56 PM

LOL!!! You must think this is RX7Club!!

We try to moderate as little as possible here.

Enjoy it!! If there arises a problem we will rename it something else. But, in all honesty it would be a super stupid move to try to nix this section. It would instantly cause a rivel to arise. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

Freedom of speech should be just that. I am suprised at all the reports of censorship with the mailing list.

Argh! The no "demise" rule. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683894.gif

More of someone's insanity. Is another list needed to discuss Article 8.5 of the MRCCFL Bylaws? Check it out.

Hey John,

There are alot of bylaws and bylaw infractions that need addressing. Like the monthly discloseur of the financial statement. Nothing unusual there (except it's never been done). Lets see if it happens in the future.

phinsup 12-24-2004 11:34 PM

As far as using the MRCCFL name I can't answer that, as far as taking the section down I can promise you there will always be an area here for everyone.

CantGoStraight 12-24-2004 11:52 PM

Hey John,

I'm sure you caught this on the MRCCFL home page. Check under members and there paid status. Shows Ian's as being expired in Jan 2004. Bylaws state that member has to be paid member to run for office (probably good for remaining in office as well). I'm sure Ken will get credit for that. I'm just wondering when we get or 2005 member cards ! ! ! (-:

fitzrx7 01-03-2005 10:27 PM

Damn it's good to hear some conversation from you guys, real and honest.

Anyway, you both might get a chuckle out of the poll I made on the MRCCFL yahoogroups site, so far Fidel Savage has yet to delete it. Everyone should VOTE!

Seems like I'm the only one on here. I can't post on yahoo, no real reason to if it's going to be censored before it posted. I'll take a look at the poll. Happy New Year to those that read this. Jack

Jack, you're not the only one on this list. The situation or situations affecting MRCCFL have been discussed at length. It is up to the members to correct the problems or move on. So far, it does not appear the members wish to do anything, which is what "Ian" was counting on from the get go. The membership need some stones!

CantGoStraight 01-06-2005 12:41 AM

Well John, Jon, Ron, Ken, and the rest of the hulagins,

Have you seen the latest on the off topic list ?? Looks like Ian thinks he needs a lawyer to run this club for him. the main list has been screwed with again. You can no longer access the pictures, downloads, or polls. There still active on the off topic list but who would want to put pictures on there. I can't imagine belonging to a club where you run the risk of being sued if you don't agree with the PRbESaIDbENyT. This very well may be a NEW YEAR butt it's got old history taking it down.

Thats the MAIN problem. The apathy of the rest of the members. If someone was on the outside looking in they would swear that the only members in this club are the people that are posting. Karen stated that Ian is talking with the *general members*....thats funny, I thought we all belong in that caregory but yet I can say I have no idea of what these discussions are about.

Now the latest episode to this mess, is that there is now threats being made by Karen (Ians significant other) that lawyers are now getting involved. So lets see where this chapter takes us, its already gearing up to be comical.

Team140 01-06-2005 07:43 AM

Yes. I find the whole thing quite humorous. All we want is to have an election, but Ian does everything in his power to see that it either doesn't happen at all or it's delayed.

Hell, for all I know, he would win.

All I, and the club, wants is for an election to be held. Preferrably not rigged.

CantGoStraight 01-08-2005 07:34 AM

Woooooooooooooo Hooooooooooooooooooo. I'm not alone. There are more post, new threads and people are interacting................ok, not in a positive manor but interacting none the less ! ! ! ! ! The Bylaw thing is kind of a joke as they don't really stand for anything if only one person uses them for his gain only. Hell he even uses the club for his personel gain, Karen said so....it's his lively hood. This story has more turns than Deal's gap. Later, Jack

The bylaws are everything. If all these posts were concentrated on use of the bylaws by the members to resolve the situation, it would have been fixed by now. Instead, time is wasted on Ian this, and Brian that. All of which is BS and works to the advantage of he who wishs to maintain dictitorial power. Why? Because it detracts for the multitude of bylaws violations that have been and are being commited. I won't bore anyone with the details of the all the violations, but they are significant and I can list specifics.

Briefly, here is one course of action. Compile a specific list of bylaws violations and the action the members wish to take as a result of the violations. Present a case for reorganization, based on bylaws violations and potential resulting action, to the voting members in the form of a petition for revision, acceptence, or rejection. If a majority of the voting members concur, complete a final draft and have it signed by the members. Present the petition that details the action the members want taken to the President. A President can be removed by a majority of the members.

There, I threw out an idea for action. I'm sure there are others that have merit. Comment on my idea. Present others, but do let's something constructive, instead of whining like a bunch of school girls.

I willing to bet that no action will be taken, it's just easier to whine.

The only problem I see, IS GETTING ALL THE PAYING MEMBERS TOGETHER IN ONE PLACE AT ONE TIME. Ian asked Ron and Damian to step down (don't know why, he appointed them he can drop them) wether they want to be dismissed or not. Brians revokation from the club is or does not stand as Ian can't make this decision alone. He can say it's so but that doesn't make it so. I believe if anyone has recourse with someone it would be Brian. John, you have my email ? ? ? Drop me a line. Jack

There are electronic means, such as a yahoo list.

However, after rereading posts specifically by Jim and Damian, who cares about a two person club. I joined MRCCFL under the assumption that it was to be an activities oriented club, not an email list. The reality is that MRCCFL has never had support for activities. This was never more obvious then at last year's Evolution Driving School. Further, consider the number of true MRCCFL events, meaning events that were solely the work of MRCCFL. So what is the function of a car club that does not have car related activities and why should anyone care about two delusional fools and an email list?

The reason were where were at is because we could never get together and solve anything. Seems decisions made over the phone bridge were never followed up on and it all came down to one persons decision. Granted it makes it easier when all agree, but it's not necessary for all to agree, just group consenses. Wel I already belong to a local car club, an unoffical Jaxonville car club, and now two state car clubs ! ! ! ! Damn drawer is gonna be full of T-shirts ! ! !
