Wow! This part of the forum is dead!

I was just curious who lives in the general area.

Also, curious what you guys do over the winter? Do you store your 7 or drive it like once a week?

Michigan roads suck!

Hey do you use the rx7club.com forum at all. We have a local club and post all our meet info in the Midwest section of the forum. We have a meet this sunday. And most of us store the cars.

Well, I'm in STL and I drove mine last winter... I tell ya, that won't happen again.

UniqueTII 10-25-2002 02:48 PM

I store mine...I managed to drive it up until December last year, but that was luck. It was also uncomfortable, since I have no heat.

did you fix the heat yet ??

UniqueTII 10-25-2002 02:59 PM

Nah...I was thinking about doing it now, since I can work in RD's heated garage, but it sounds way too much like work.

9BASE3 11-21-2002 01:43 PM

Whoring. LOL

9BASE3 11-21-2002 07:47 PM

i wish i could store it :( I've got a lovely heated shop that I could tear it apart and enjoy countless hours of tooth brush cleaning of the motor.. but i hate buying a car and not driving it.. seems to counter productive to me.. pay insurance.. pay gas.. pay maintance fees.. but let it chill

yayer 11-29-2002 11:04 AM

I'm in MI, i keep storing it in my neighbors garage and then taking out https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR , once the snow starts sticking i'll store it for the winter :( .

i have a 2nd gen Acura Legend that i'll be driving for the winter, and daily during the spring/summer if it doesnt fall apart.

That's what winters are for!! I detailed the undercarriage last winter. Removed 55,000 miles worth of dirt https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...

Just drop the insurance to comprehensive only. I pay less the $60/month for comp. Keeps the car safe, gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling inside..

I'm driving my FD as much as I can, of course only on good weather days... like today - it's beautiful out, sunny, dry, and in the 40s, why keep your 7 cooped up on a day like this?

Besides, I get some serious withdrawl if I go too long without driving it. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...O_DIR#>/11.gif   :puke: https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...R#>/violin.gif :squint:

W3RD up YO!

Ben93rx7 12-04-2002 12:28 PM

I drive it ever once in a while between tuning it....... Seems like I am always adding new parts, and then I have to test them out https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png . I have a beater car (88 CRX) that gets driven on my daily trips, IE school and work. Plus the beater gets bout 35 mpg, lol and that is a hell of a lot better than the FD, but DAMN is that thing slow.

9BASE3 12-04-2002 03:24 PM

Yeah... It's hard to find a car that feels fast when you drive a FD!
