OKLAHOMA CITY, OK HERE. HOME OF F-BODIES, MUSTANG GT'S, AND RICERS. TENDS TO MAKE MY CAR STICK OUT, LOL SOME PEOPLE DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT KINDA CAR I GOT WHEN THEY SEE IT. AS FAR AS I KNOW THE CLOSEST RX-7 CLUB IS IN DALLAS/ FT.WORTH, COOL GUYS AND HOME OF ARI YALLON https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/cool.png

Twin89Stangs 01-03-2002 02:07 AM

lol

very very few running RX7's around here..

only seen 4-5 I think FD's....

though several FC's patrol the highway but are usually pretty rough.....

Around here there are a fair amount of mustangs and camaro's but Ricers seem to be the dominant force.... too bad they are so SLOW! have yet to run across one that is a threat to a brand new GT or Z28....

Sweet! Is this your first RX-7?

Rotarydragon 02-26-2002 09:16 AM

Des Moines, IA here

I think I saw another RX-7 once......https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

Acutally there was a nice yellow third gen running around, plus I've seen a few others.

Otherwise Iowa is the land of rusted out chevy trucks and there's a large number of pontiacs on the road as well.

And saabs.....

OKIERX-7 02-26-2002 02:19 PM

The majority of rx-7's here are all ragged out series 4 base model SE's. I have only seen a couple of turbos and they are looking rough too.

The other day some guy in a RAGGED!!! 86 or so SE came up to me and asked me where I got all my body stuff i.e. stock spoiler, stock nose, stock hood LOL. I didn't have the heart to tell him how much the stuff would cost him to upgrade his so I just told him to look on the internet.

I have seen this sweet white with blue graphics series 5 turbo out of lawton, OK once though. Other than that NADA.

I'm about ready to get myself hit by and RX-7. Every few weeks a white 2nd gen drives past my house and I'm about ready to throw myself in front of him to stop em and talk to em.

Does it have white AE wheels? There's one here at ISU that I thought was an AE, but it doesn't have the leather interior.

Rotarydragon 03-28-2002 01:26 PM

I think that it does, I don't honestly recal

UniqueTII 03-29-2002 02:12 PM

I saw a red 'vert on campus yesterday...that brings the total up to 8 or 9 that I've seen around here...I need to get talking to some of these people.

Rotarydragon 03-30-2002 05:58 PM

Yeah I'm hoping some 7's will show up at the next SOLO event by the local SCCA chapter.

Well I don't really consider Denver to be part of the Midwest, but it looks like the closest description out of all my options...So I guess I've found a home here... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png
