i dont actually own a mazda but i am serious about buying one. i am having a tough time trying to find a good one in my area. most though have rust or other problems. im basically on here for further information about rotaries and to purchase a rx7 of my own. i have big ambitions to build up a rotary drift competitor.

im not to be mistaken for a bunch of ricer/ "im so jdm" fags that only knew about drifting when tokyo drift came out. i knew about it way before the movie. i know a little what im talking about but i really would like to learn more from mazda gurus since ive been basically focusing on the 240sx platform. (i may post pics in a couple of months of my brothers 300hp sr swap when its finished.) ive been helping him out taking out the interior, removal of insulation and sound, and various other things. cars have been my life since i was a kid. ive been working on little things in cars since i was about 14 so im not new to them. anyways thanks for reading and any comments are accepted. hopefullyy i will be a good asset to you in the future as well, who knows? again, thanks guys.

welcome to the forum! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.gif if your into drifting you should make sure to keep up with speedmachine, and ask them for advice perhaps if you get an rx7 to setup for drift!, they are VERY involved in the drifting scene (they build all the rotary powered Falken drift cars, currently i believe the main one is an rx-8 with a 3rd gen rx7 engine but i could be wrong.)

wow this forum is a lot nicer than rx7club haha. thanks for the warm reception.

anyways i was hoping actually to buy a rx7 from one of you guys, seeing that i'd be buying from a person that is actively interested in their mazdas. the ones around here (excuse me if i repeated myself) in my area im a little scared about. all the cars ive been looking at havent been in the greatest of care. most have rust, some have other problems. i dont what to buy anyones heartache you know?

and who is speedmachine? how could i go about talking to them? thanks for your help!

Don't worry. There are members here who didn't own an RX7 when they joined, and then they got one, and another, etc..

We like to think it's from nopistons.com being so awesome.

So go ahead, snoop around. Welcome!

yeah, I was getting sideways before drifting came over from Japan. those were the good old days... when we used to call it power sliding. drifting is cool, and rx-7s make great drift cars- nice balance and you can let the rotary engine hang at high revs.

i kno this was a while back, but w/e. decided to give it a try.

so in order to start going sideways in an fc, what mods do you think are a must have first? like does the suspension bottom out like the 240 sometimes or is it ok for low 200hp numbers?

any info is appreciated. thanks.

*edit*

and hows the fb at drifting? any better than the fc?
