New to this forum, just wanted to introduce myself. I have a '88 GXL that I am building from the ground up to be my Autocross car. I'm building it way over kill so that it will be competitive and meet the safety requirements for higher levels of competition like road racing and Formula D.
I recently purchased a '91 as a donor car for some parts needed to convert the automatic trans in the GXL to a 5-speed manual. I have parted out most of the non-essential parts, but have a few left, so if anyone is looking for anything, let me know.
--At present, the '88 is completely stripped, getting ready for a cage, and seam welding. While that is in process, I've been trying to figure out my computer management system stuff, and how all that will interface together. Its proven to be a topic without much info on the matter, so anyone with tips would be very helpfull.
