Hello,

my name is Markus Schönrock from Germany. I invented a new kind of Rotary Combustion engine. You can see everything about the RotaTorque engine on www.rotatorque.com, my private Homepage. At the moment it is only available in German, but there are lots of animations that are easy to understand.

As you can see, the first Prototype is ready and works.

For the next stage of development I want to build a second "evolution" Prototype. There are lots of investigations to be made, such as electronic ignition, injection, some hours Dyno testing and so on.

I try to find people who can help me to start the next stage, so I make the RotaTorque-engine as public as possible.

thats sweet, wish i spoke german. What exactly does it use in place of apex seals?

Looks a bit like a glorified jabsco pump. I dont want to sound negative but i have seen many slight variations of this type of pump and doubt a reliable combustion engine could be made from one . First cooling would be a huge hurdle . Second what material could be used for the main seals ? As they travel out chances of breaking would be high.

thats an interesting design. have you actually built one yet, or just designed it? will it be n/a or turbo? when you put one on a dyno, let us know horsepower and torque numbers, and estimated fuel consumption.

as you can see on Pictures http://www.rotatorque.de/page51.htm and following, I have already built the first Prototype. It worked for some hours, just until I gave it to a large German company (- I don´t want to tell the name at the moment -) that is interested on the Rotatorque. They should do some professional Dyno-Testing to see the potential of the RotaTorque concept. Unfortunately they damaged it by turning it much to high. I told them to stop at 3000 1/min but they ignored it.



Now I need to build a new one, as soon as possible.

But it costs a lot of money for a private inventor.



You can find the engine parameters by clicking German Daten buttons next to the animations. I know it is no fun to read an unknown language, so I hope can find someone helping me to translate the page in the next weeks.

In my sight of view, it is not necessary to use a Turbo. One advantage of the RotaTorque is, you can construct different voluming for compression area and working area. You could also use one side of the "Doppelzünder" to pre pressurize the Gas.

Nearly every airplane like a Cessna has a dry running rotary vane vacuum pump installed because of its reliably and these don´t need any seals or oil. If you want to lubricate graphite you just have to take water.

You can also find rotary vanes in several industrial compressors and hydraulic pumps.



The only thing I tried, is to combine the rotary Principal with an internal combustion.



Sure you have to calculate thickness of the rotary vanes. They should not get too heavy because of the centrifugal force. As you can see the "Doppelzünder" has double vanes for better sealing and less weight.
