Finally another rotary forum besides rx7club. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.gif

I've owned 5 FC's, a bridgy 1st gen, and an RX3-SP SCCA Pro Rally car (also a bridgy)

I was an HPDE driving instructor, drifting coach/judge, and teen car-control instructor at Thunderhill. I was pit crew for a few seasons for a race prepped miata and fb. I've worked as a mechanic for a speed shop and a couple other autoshops. I've also done autocross and rallycross, but my favorite driving challenge is the touge.

My friends call me Nar, pleased to meet ya'll.

I'm very jealous of you lol. I'm really amazed by how clean and dent free she looks for being a rally car

Well the car is no more, I flipped it during a competition and cracked the frame open :(

Nice! Is that a weber I spot on the fb?

Here's a compilation vid. They were making top ten finishes into the early 2000's with their fb

Yep downdraft 48's... that bridgeported 12A actually came out of the RX3 rally car.

thatpoorguy 05-12-2011 02:37 PM

I thought so, I had side draft weber 48's on my last fb. Wish I still had her :/

Yeah you and me both :/

thatpoorguy 05-13-2011 07:51 AM

I sold her to a friend to pay bills. I keep in touch with him and help him work on it occasionally. At least I still have my fd lol

ModDimension 05-13-2011 03:10 PM

I sold mine after gas got too expensive, the bridgy got like 8 mpg lol. I sold it on ebay to a guy in New Zealand who flew here to Californa and put the car in a container to ship it back.

thatpoorguy 05-13-2011 04:26 PM

Wow, wish I had that kind of luck with a sale. I originally bought the fb off a couple in Cali. It wouldn't pass emissions so Cali wanted it crushed. Having it shipped by truck cost me almost as much as purchasing the car lol

ModDimension 05-14-2011 02:33 PM

That's true shipping cars is not cheap... for instance I sold my Z on ebay to a collector in Georgia who had it transported. I forget how much it cost him but it was a lot lol

That is one of the cleanest z's I've ever seen! That's a turbo one too isn't it?

Err actually no, it was a 79 ZX-R, a rare special-edition model. It came with a whale-tail wing that made lots of downforce. They didn't start making turbo's until 81. I should have never sold it it was probably my favorite car ever... :\ ...but I wanted to get faster as a driver so I needed a car that was more capable... thus I turned to the dark side of RX7's.

Oh ok. I thought the naca ducts meant turbo for some reason

ModDimension 05-17-2011 02:07 PM

I believe the turbo's have a larger duct on one side of the hood.
