Looking to resurrect the Wankel as a Production Engine
Been a lifelong car guy. Owned a couple of RX-7's over the years and enjoyed them very much. Just got too fat and old to conveniently get in and out of them :)
I have developed some technology that I believe could solve the emissions and fuel economy problems with the Wankel; hence the username "Lazerus". Just built a '71 Nova - piston engine - with this technology and looks very encouraging. I want to bring "zoom-zoom" back. Looking to ramp back up on Wankel thermodynamics and owner experiences. I'm also looking for a team member to potentially work with me to build a proof of concept engine in the Raleigh, NC area. Need someone totally comfortable tearing down a Wankel and understanding the nuances of the engine, yet not locked into traditional engine design paradigms. Much of the new technology is counter to "conventional wisdom", and was one of the more annoying obstacles to overcome when dealing with suppliers. Cheers! |
