hi everyone i am a long time lurker just kinda looked around first to find out more about the RX-7 and the rotary engine but now i found what i think is a nice deal on a 86' RX-7 N/A and its 5spd which is plus. anyways the car looks decent in the pics but i still gotta look at it to make sure that it is good engough to drive home cause its only for $700 which i highly doubt i wil be able to drive it home for that price.

and i actually have a question like would it be hard to swap in a T2 engine or should i just leave it N/A which would yeild a better learning abilty for some one who has little no experiance with drifting. and i say that because the car is not going to be mine it is going to be my fiancee's car because she wants to learn how to drift but she does not want a 240 like i have.

thanks for any advice abut these cars since i really dont kow to much about the RX-7 but i really want to learn as much about them as possible.

Welcome to nopistons!

Learn the ins and outs of the n/a, how everything works, get familiar under the hood/car, etc. Then move up to the motor swap, which is a direct bolt-in affair.

from what i hear from the drifters.. 240 is entry level difficulty for drifting.. fc rx7 is more like intermediate difficulty and requires a tad more mods to get goin.. N/A might not have the power you need but feel free to ask around on the forum ' im sure there are some on here with more experience in that area.
