hey i was wondering about a few things, first i keep saying series 3 series 4 and so fourth, what does that mena, cause to my knowledger there were 3 generations of rx-7, im thinking its somthing like the changes taht were made to the motor and what not, also what are some things to look for when purchasing an fc. i know they blow apex seals and over heat, but what are some of the signs to watch out for?

Oh man.. FC's are a bit outta reach for me. Someone correct me, but the series refer to the different model revisions. I think there's 7(?) series'.. As for the FC advice, you're best bet is to poke around the 2nd gen forum, and ask questions there.
sorry I can't be much help, I do't live much outside my 3rd gen bubble.. Welcome to nopistons.com anyway! |
Welcome to the forum. Here's an FC buyer's guide: link
There's a lot of stuff in there, so unless you want to be real picky, I'd just watch out for the major mechanical problems. |
series 4=86-88
series 5=89-91 |
Over heating is as easy as a larger radiator, and they shouldn't blow Apex seals if you upgrade them to 3mm...
And yes there are several series of rotary cars, more than just 4 if that's what you're referencing too. |
