Guys;

I hate to bother you, but I need help finding a reliable RX7 to do a TV commercial.

I have this website, www.moviecarz.com but I don't have nearly enough RX7's to choose from.

I've set it up so any member of this forum can register their RX7 and post pics of it for free.

Simply log on and follow the "register" link and instructions.

When prompted for a "promo code," enter the word "free" and proceed by skipping over the credit card info.

You'll then be allowed to post pics and specs on the car for all future casting calls.

For this one, they're looking for a mild to wild FD3S ONLY to be taken to Willow Springs in mid January. A pro driver will gently drive the car at moderate speeds around the track. They'll trailer the car, fully inspect and insure the car and reimburse for any damage, right down to rock chips.

The car will star in an upcoming network TV commercial.

The car MUST be reliable, must idle well and MUST be in So Calif (at your expense) by January 10th. Pay rate is typically $500 and up for such a gig.

If you have questions, do NOT PM me. Please email me at liebermc1@cox.net

Scam!

EDIT: Well, I went to try it out - it is indeed free, not sure what you'll get out of it though. User beware, they ask for address, phone number, email, full name.

No, NOT a scam...I'm dead serious.

Guys: go to www.moviecarz.com and check out the "Casting Call" link on the front page.

If its' FREE, how is it a scam?

Credit for being skeptical, but I can assure you its' legit!!

Email me at liebermc1@cox.net or clieberman@magnaflow.com

I have a hard time believing that you're really who your handle implies you are.. but what do I know?

EDIT: Please excuse the skepticism, but I'm wary on behalf of our younger audience. I don't want anyone to lose anything for any reason. Also, I'm familiar with people walking up to my girlfriend at events and telling her she could be a model, come to a free session to find out more.. Then they want $200 to build a portfolio, which is a total scam.

I really need to stop editing my posts like this, lol.

don't worry about it Steve, it would be incredibly wierd for someone to pretend to be him and direct you to a service he offers.

As long as no one yells NAAWWS while the camera is rolling it should be fine. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683785.gif J/K

if this was for southern Ontario in July and the 'must idle well' was dropped I would sign up! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

That being said, I have signed up on moviecarz.com and I will be happy to post any and all solicitations and experiences I get as a result.

And Craig... Nice cars. It seems you're living my dreams as well! Thanks for addressing my concerns and I apologize again for my mistrust of your identity, it's not every day we see a psuedo-celebrity on Nopistons.com.

And Tyson is right, no one yell "NAWWWSS!", one exploding DSM is quite enough! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif (We're always such jokers!)

Some of us find the term "RICE ROCKETS" derogatory.

Sinful7 12-28-2004 12:13 PM

Some of us also consider paying $349.95 for a 'sponsorship package' bullshit, FYI.

Totally agree...its' not my term, its a term used by Hollywood Picture car professionals...sorry, I should have stated it was a quote.

BTW: Sinful, IMHO, the only thing more pathetic than being Craig Lieberman is PRETENDING to be Craig Lieberman!

Seriously, your kind words about me being a pseudo celebrity are flattering, but I'm honestly just a car geek like everyone else I know.

Seriously though, if you get a minute, check out the "Fast & Furious True Hollywood Story" link on my front page at moviecarz.com. There's a whole writeup on how the "Nawwwsss" thing got started and some good inside information from behind the scenes.
