OK a lot of people say that rotary engines don't last long and they barely make it to 100k but for some odd reason i have a 85 rx7 gsl-se with 351000 miles on it and has not been rebuilt yet no only does it still run very well but wen i took it to get smogged it had zero emmissions...and yes i know for a fact it hasn't had a rebuild i'm the second own n the 1st was my grandfathers and he kept every single paper of work done to the car so i'd like to say that those who talk badly about the engine's quality are dumb, I'd like to know how many miles your guys engines have gone or are still going
well i think it was around 116xxx before the engine went but to be fair it was sitting for a year and now it has 0 miles on it until i pick it up on saturday
well i gues it comes down to how well you treat it and what porting and if you reguarly service it!!
i got it with 115xxx so i believe i put enough on it to make it 116xxx before finally letting the coolant seals go

the gsl-se was the best one, normal for them is 20years/220,000 miles, we used to see 300+ pretty often. pretty cool BTW, pics? |
wow! 350K? thats toyota type durability... my gxl, has about 180k and feels pretty decent after the pinapple racing water ttreatment i did and the auxilary port/airpump mod....
