Do rotor bearings typically have to be replaced when rebuilding an engine? What other related bearings should I replace on my engine? It is an s4 with 200k.

i replace rotor bearings and stationary gear bearings and frount thrust bearings and washers when i rebuild a high mile motor. if its under a 60k on a motor most times the rotor bearings and stationary gear bearings are fine to reuse, but inspect them. problem with replacing bearings is some times they dont like to seat and can spin easy. use green loctite on the bearing O.D. when pressing in the new bearings to prevent them from spinning.

So it's rotor bearings and stationary gear bearings. |
