so ive been reading a bit in the "kills" section and well.. everyone always comes up and says.. " racing should be kept on the track".. i do agree with this to an extent but why must everyone voice there own opinion about it being on the track only.. seriously.. are some people just trying to get there posts up or what. street racing is illegal and thats becasue its dangerous but im sure everyone knows that. i dont understand if everyone on this forum is against street racing then why is there a kill section.. i dunno why would someone put a story of beating someone at a track?.. just my two cents..

Its like the "do not try this at home" disclaimer on tv shows

I read through some of the topics, the replies about the kill seem to outweigh the keep it on the track posts. Some people say drugs are bad, does that stop you from taking them? I hope not HA HA

Anyhow, who cares, just ignore them and move on.

I only say that if they're endangering traffic. Yeah I've done stupid stuff in the past, but I grew up. The only kill thread I've posted was from the dragstrip. I've seen too many friends get into serious accidents while street racing

street racing may be illegal, but if you must, be aware of your surroundings and use educated judgement to decide if you are going to be a threat to people around you. killing yourself is one thing, thats the risk we take when we crack the throttle open and go, but killing someone else will put you in a place you dont want to be, both mentally and physically.

what im really trying to say is just keep it out of traffic and residental areas.

because the real battles happen at the track. I could tell you some stories about the track victories of my FC but no one would believe me... I could also tell you stories about its prowess on mountain roads but I'd be ridiculed. Basically its just best not to do any bragging on the internet if you are sensitive about anyones comments. Internet = lots of jerks who want to ruin someones pride

On the track or on the street doesn't matter to me a Kill is a Kill. I can honestly say I haven't raced in either fashion in a long time, but I do attend a few street races from time to time. So I would never try to preach to those that do, it's simply not my place to do so.

ModDimesion I not so sure it's entirely about bragging, but merely sharing a story. If you have an issue with people believing you, why not make it clear by posting a video of said races. It's a little hard to argue when people can see for themselves. When we go out for a run both on the track or street we always get video from multiple points of the race. Generally we have a start & finish, but we like to have a 3/4 shot. This helps with close races where money is involved.

Its not that I have an issue with it, I'm happy to share stories and I often do. People will believe what they want... It is nice to have video to back up the story though. I plan on using an in-car recorder next time I get a chance to race.

Yeah a good in car video is the only thing we never get. Maybe I can convince a buddy of mine to mount a camera.
