Last night there was a bad wreck here in Jackson, MS. The kid was just in my shop earlier that day getting a center cap for his wheels. It is just weird how one minute you here then you are gone. This is why street racing is bad. the complete storyhttp://wlbt.static.worldnow.com/images/978528_SS.jpg

9BASE3 10-19-2002 04:44 PM

People are stupid. Most of these fucks that wreck can't even parallel park. I ******* HATE people that race on the street. Ok, not everybody. But you know the **** I'm talking about...

Dragon 10-19-2002 10:35 PM

It was the story with the 15 year old right???

https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub..._DIR#>/wtf.gif is a 15 year old doing racing in the first place.. and why was the 16 year old letting him drive his car??

Rutt 10-19-2002 10:54 PM

No no no... The legal driving age in Mississippi is 15! When I lived in Alabama I used my cousins address in Mississippi to get my license and then change it a month later in Alabama! The 15y/o was racing the 16y/o.

I feel sorry for both families because one lost a son/brother before he had a chance to experience life and the other family lost a son/brother/husband for a stupid reason!

Dragon 10-20-2002 04:59 AM

I didn't know there was anyplace in the USA where you could get a lic. under the age of 16 other than a learners permit...? I feel mostly sorry for the family members in the truck...

the kid killed a 27 year old. the kid he was racing was 16. wtf is a 15 year old doing with a 3000gt??? thats why they make hondas. sad story all the way around. im a sure that the 16 year old that lived will never race again. if he does he needs an ass kicking. it sucks that it takes the lives of two people to show him that racing on the streets is ******* dumb. im sure tehy were racing stop light to stop light. im out sully

Nasty crash last week by my house here in Miami some 25 year old hit a big ass tree going over 100 he was on coke and drunk. but he broke his Lexsus GS 400 in 3 peices and the engine flew clean out of the car. A freind of my sister's is a fire fighter and was called to the scene. The guy was IMPRINTED into the tree. IT was the worst he had seen in a long time he said.

bigtime 10-20-2002 08:59 AM

yeah i never street race

rxpower 10-20-2002 09:04 AM

there are too many ******* kiddies who think they know how to drive.

Shane.Trammell 10-20-2002 09:28 AM

i race sometimes. but my car is an auto vert, so its not really a race

Shane.Trammell 10-20-2002 09:33 AM

stupid idiots. i would blame whoever bought him that car. theyre stupid idiots too.

Dragon 10-20-2002 11:34 AM

I'm not so much against street racing, but there are times and places where you can do it somewhat safely... and a 15-year-old shouldn't be doing it at all...

rxpower 10-20-2002 11:41 AM

Your right Trammell who lets a kid have a ride like that. (If it was his) they are idiots and should think about that.

Turbo II 10-20-2002 12:14 PM

oh my this was put in the kill section

isamu 10-20-2002 01:32 PM

I believe you only have to be 15 in Idaho to get your license also. 15/16 is pretty young. I suppose its true that in youth and beauty wisdom is rare.

i guess that means im a rarity

but on a more serious note there is a time and a place for everything and racing red to red on some traveled street at midnight is not the time or the place. also anybody younger than me who has a car like a 3000gt (gto in japan) or an a ******* m3 or... just pisses me off b/c you know they didnt pay for it and dont even apreciate it, much less be able to handle it i think all first year drivers should have to drive shitty cars so they can appreciate the better cars when they get them. anyway enouch ranting https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/boink.gif

Rutt 10-20-2002 06:43 PM

If you can't vote you shouldn't be able to drive a weapon of mass destruction!! They should either lower the voting age or raise the minimum drivers license age!

RHDJapan7 10-20-2002 10:47 PM

Well said. So many of these people just don't have a clue. They take to the roads like wild people and usually end up killing the people in the other car. Can you imagine having to live with that??

I seriously think that the movie Fast & Furious inspired some of these kids to drive around on public roads like crazy people. I don't know, I am not anti- street racing. I just think that some people are able to do it a little more responsibly than others.

Anyway, it is things like this that just make the rest of us act a little more carefully.

Fastrotaries 10-27-2002 12:20 AM

time and place for everything, and the track isn't always one of them. Need to realize the potential danger in every situation. poor lack of judgement. tragic

FCmaniac 10-27-2002 05:18 AM

that is ****** horrible man... one of my buddies from high school was killed street racing when he ran off a back road into a tree. I sit here and say its so ****** dumb yet there was a time when I did.. I'm sure most of us did (or still do once in a while). Do you guys think it would help if there were more tracks around and advertised events for all drivers to race?? I've heard that excuse a hundred times... "There is no where to race so I race on the street"... what bullshit.

https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...O_DIR#>/11.gif very sad story

SpecialT 11-01-2002 10:28 AM

I'm sorry, but that's why they build tracks!

So that regular people don't have to be subject to your insanity! Will people never learn!

ChainSawOnSteroids 11-06-2002 10:55 AM

people learn. but they learn once its too late!

r_xplicit 11-06-2002 04:43 PM

my buddies and i were talking about this accident just minutes after it happened. to the day, there is still a pile of burnt debris on the emergency lane shoulder that hte 3kgt burned in.

rxotic, the thread starter, has a shop where the kid got the wheels. i am there all of the time. i knew him as well. he was young, and dumb, as we all were or still are.

the worst part about it is that kevin, brian's (rxotic) older brother, told the kid to have his steering and allignment looked at. there is no doubt in my mind that the car was not fully repaired from a wreck that it was involved in just a few months ago. the front passenger tire was out of camber and allignment......

i hate to see things like this, especially when an innocent by-stander like the passenger of the explorer was. the guy got killed by a thoughtless youth trying his balls against a mustang. the driver of the 3kgt escaped the car, though still burning, and rolled around on the ground. he was taken to greenville, a nearby city, and held there for his burns.....he later died the next morning.......

definately a tragedy. there are many considerations for a vehicle that many people neglect to consider, that are all too important when a car reaches higher-than-normal speeds.........
