So I'm cruising home tonite...finally a nice clear day so the sunroof is open and windows down. Its a three lane highway...just going 70. Traffic has cleared up and I'm making my way up a longer hill...when I see a newer camaro up ahead who is going about 65. As I get closer I see the SS badge, different exhaust...and notice some pillar gauges, hmmmm. Up ahead there is a light...where 3 lanes merge to 2 shortly after. As I'm cresting the hill I think "Dear God please do not turn red!" ...knowing that there is a possibility this guy will race...and utterly kill me, haha!



Sure enough...as soon as I see the light...it turns red. And guess who pulls in behind me, lol. So as I look in the rear view I see its an older guy with his wife. Just as I think "nah, this guy won't beat on me"...I hear a slight rev...accompanied by a supercharger wine!!! uh oh...This is gonna be ugly.



At this point I'm debating...do I even launch and go for it...or just surrender and let him stomp me. The light turns green and I don't launch hard...but floor it soon enough. I take all the other cars off the line...and see the camaro is still glued to my bumper. As we both merge left, he pulls around in the fast lane and guns it...and just blasts past me. OMG!!! I have never been killed so bad. That thing was insane. By 80mph he must have had at last 10 car lengths on me....easy...if more! lol. Not that I expected much from my 160hp 13 year old FC...but YIKES! Even with my T2 he would have slayed me easily.

A supercharged SS is nothing to be fucked with... That's a sick fast daily driver.

supercharged ss will hit 12's with a decent driver.

So did you race him in an N/A or a t2, anyways thats a super fast car, its always good to **** with a car faster than yours just to see.

I've beat up on more than oone SS, I never had the pleasure of finding a SC one. I like to smack up on the WS6 also.

WS6's are fun, but I only found one who's owner enjoyed the beating i gave him.... cause he also has an fd.

I saw a 2000 SS camaro with an exhaust and headers run at midnight mayhem like 2 weeks ago he ran a 13.2-13.4 somewhere in between there I can't really rememeber. He was a decent driver too.

A normal running supercharged SS should run 11s...

I got pulled by a supercharged WS6 and I have a decently fast FD. It's set up for road racing, not drag racing, but I have about 320rwhp and have run a 12.6 quarter at 12-13psi. We were on the highway a while and neither of us were blatantly goading the other, but after a several minutes of staying slightly behind him one lane over he finally floored it at about a 75mph roll-on. The torque on that thing was unbelievable. I should have been in 3rd but thought I could leave it in 4th and still hang. Big mistake. Even if I were in 3rd I probably wouldn't have won. I think I may have stayed even though.

a stock SS (or z28, same engine, LS1) with a hundred shot will run 12.50, 6psi on a Procharger P-1sc and some sort of traction will be high 11s.



his raceweight at that moment was probably 3800pounds too. (if his wife wasn't fat)



But i think the turbo II is probably the most underrated car out there..
