Finally stopped raining after yesterday's downpour, and the roads dried up. I decided to take the fd out to burn off some of that 93 octane in the tank. We are having a fun run on Sunday and I want to come with a tank of race gas https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png I was comming home when I spotted a red viper gts comming up from behind. Guy looked pretty young with a ponytail, and wouldn't acknowledge me at first. I got annoyed and kept falling back, then blowing by him wide open throttle. He finally went after me but we had to slow down due to traffic. I got along side him and he laughed, but wouldn't go from a side by side roll. I gave up and let him go ahead. He was a few cars ahead and suddenly weaved around a car and went into the left lane, and took off. I went after him but he had about 4-5 cars of a head start and I couln't make up for it when he backed off around 140-150. There was too much traffic at this point so I got off the next exit and went home. Too bad I didn't have race gas in the tank. I would have cranked up the boost.

i thought you had the 100 octane in it ?

get his ass next time, that always the best beating some arogant rich prick, with an expensive car.

The worst part is he still thinks he is god, since you couldn't catch him.

I got 15 gallons of 100 unleaded sitting in front of my house. I still had 1/2 tank of 93 that i need to burn off. I'll probably pick up 5 gallons of c16 and mix it in as well. We're having a fun run on Sunday if the weather holds out. Also, I think he know what I was capable of from the way I blew by him. He just did the same thing to me. I can change boost on the fly, but I didn't want to run more than 16 psi on pump gas.

i would love to see some of that one on tape. do not forget, vipers have very long legs that they love to stretch on the interstate. i was a passenger to my buddy the other day in his viper (2k1 gts) and we easily rolled 170 on the interstate....my balls are still in my throat from the 1st time i did that.....

C16 is leaded is it not? I'll assume you don't have any catalytic convertors, but how are you going to deal with the fact that the lead will destroy your 02 sensor? Thanks.

Its leaded. Our cars only use the O2 sensor under cruising to improve gas milage. As soon as you get on boost it goes to closed loop and reads off the maps. My mph is so bad anyway that I don't even care anymore. And yea, I have no cats.

theres a guy running around my town with a silver viper,i think its an rt/10,its nice,i have a friend with an fd,i keep trying to convince him to race the viper,so far it hasnt worked,eventually he will give into peer pressure :twisted:

I usually invite the rx-7 guys on the fun runs but no one shows. It got canceled anyway, bad weather.
