An SR20 is plenty and the cheapest to do. Out of the Rb's the 26 is the only one worth it. Plus the Rb weight more.

Your wrong.... I have researched and have worked on allot of these motors and know the potential of them all. The RB25 is a very good motor and has been taken up to 587HP on the stock motor (meaning nothing done to the head or block.) The guy that made that 587HP stoped right there becuase he knew that he would blow out the stock head gasket. This month he will be putting in a new 1.5mm+ metal head gasket and new ARP head studs and then is going to the dyno again. He is shooting for 650HP on the stock head and stock block. So when you say that the RB26 is the only one worth it, well that's just a unknowledgable statement. You need to research the motors before you speak out loud. Once you research the RB's you will find out that the RB25 and RB26 have allot of inerchangable parts. I could take the RB26 internals (pistons, rods, and crank) and swap them into my RB25. Almost everything can be swaped over. Soon I plan on throwing on the RB26 surge tank setup onto my RB25 and maybe keeping the individual throttle bodies or might make a flang with on the inlet and putting on a Q45 90mm throttle body since the intake and exhuast manifolds from the RB26 will bolt up.



The SR is a good motor, but you will not have anywhere near the potential you would with an inline 6. The SR has been taken up to 545HP on stock internals (bottom end) with a semi built block. Well the RB25 has already beat that with an untouched head or block. If you are looking for 450+HP with the least amount of money, well I would say go with the RB25 or RB26.

i dont really know what the guy had , but i know he had turbo...in addition i really dint thinkon pulling over and asking him what he had

here is a new complete run-down of my setup







1----non-ported 6 port 1987 n/a high comp engine "9.4 compression"(seals and gasket of a t2 for safty and yes it can be done)

2----t2 intake manifold

3----msd fuel pressure regulator with boost index

4----4 t2 550cc injectors

5---- t2 fuel pump

6----t04b turbo a/r 96 p-trim

7 ----took the stock back end of a t2 turbo housing and got it bored out so the t04 fits in perfecty and got the whole turbo ceramic coeted and i also get to use the stock waste gate

8----racing beat 3" down pipe

9----single 2.5 exhust with a 4" muffer

8----stock n/a trans

9----no power steering, a/c , and pollution pump

10----20w50 oil

11----ngk b9es spark plugs

12---- 4 puck bronz racing clutch

13----hks blow off valve

14----t2 hood

15----10 psi of boost

16----atkin one peice "wha u ma cal it"(dont remember its name)

17---- thats all i can remember off the top of my mind

i agree....rb has more potential, but it also does weight more

They actually wieghed an S13 with an RB25 in it and it wieghed 2780lbs. compared to the S13 SR that normally wieghs 2650lbs. So an extra 130lbs. isn't that much of a difference. A stock RB25 would easily win against a stock SR any day.

Do you have a pic of the port match t2 lim?

how do u get a stock high compression n/a 13b.
