So I was cruising 39th street and this dude in a 99 mustang rolls up to me at the red light. And started revving his nasty sounding v6/8?? at my fc3s street ported n/a. My friend dustin was with me and we both laughed, so I waited for the light to turn, and just stepped on the gas, shifted to 2nd @ about 7400, and he still wasn't able to catch up. After successfully beating him at that light, the next light was ALSO red! We both stopped at the light and I could hear him setting on 2-3x getting ready to launch, he was about 4-6 feet ahead of me (still trying to move forward),.. so I gave him a good old 3x rotary launch (i usually launch from higher, but I barely had time to setup for it). He ended up getting a better launch (he had like a freekin 10ft head start) but I caught up with him @ 3rd gear, and flew by him doin about 60mph. As i'm passing by him, my friend was saying: "car... uhh,.. carrrr..." and I look up and there was a brand new Jetta setting at the stop light about 100 ft from me!, so i locked my brakes up, and came REALLY freekin close to it. But all was well, and I ended up smoking a Stang twice (just goes to tell you you cant kill rotary power even if you cheat).
