I was heading South on I-95 heading to West Palm Beach. As I got onto the interstate I saw a Lightning pass by. I jumped out behind him and followed intending just to cruise w/ him.



Then I saw the telltale black puff from his exhaust and he took off. I didn't floor it I just took off and caught up to him.



He did it again.



This time I downshifted to 4th and floored it. In a matter of seconds I was all over his ass and had to let off to keep from rear ending him.



The dirty wind coming off a Lightning at 130 MPH is scary my hood looked like it was gonna cave in.



I got out in front of him. Now its my turn. he switches lanes and hits it to pass me. I downshift back to 4th and floor it again. I start walking away I wind out 4th and shift to 5th and hammered it again. I looked at my speedo 140 and climbing I look in my rearview and about 30 cars back is the lightning. I let off at about 150 and tooled back down.





Lightning catches up and rolls his window down. I roll mine down. He gives a a thumbs up and moves on.

D/K that Dodge was making a lightning now.



It was a Ford.

No, but Dodge is producing a Viper powered truck called the Dodge Ram SRT-10. 6spd, and 550 hp. Look for the little wing on the back, and the word "Viper" somewhere on it. I think they only make them in red, and I don't believe that they are out yet. But hell, killing a Lightning is nothing to sneeze at, those things have balls to the wall scary power!! Great kill!!

no offense or anything, but 9 times out of 10 sales people at car dealerships don't know anything about cars. i remember going to the dodge/mazda dealer in my town with a friend. he was looking to get a mazdaslow protege or a srt4. the guy tried telling me that the mazdaslow was faster then the srt4, but the srt4 was a twin turbo 4cyl.

Dude trust me, I take no such offense. You should see some of the dealers at the place that I work at. If you ask any question that is in any way technically related, they instantly become retarted and ramble out some bs that almost always loses them a sale. Since that post about the SRT-10 I made, I've seen 4 at the Manheim Auto Auction (2 Red, 1 black, and 1 yellow).

They are underrated by Ford, though.



My 340 HP (at the crank) Harley Truck dyno'd 332 rwhp and 406 rwtq when she

was bone stock.



As previously stated, the engine really takes well to mods,

without too much hoopla.
