Well I was out on Friday just cruising around to see if my friends were out. Just after finding one of my friends I passed an srt4 going the opposite direction. Well I said screw it, since all of you guys have been talking about how stout this car should be, and chased it down. When I caught him we drove next to each other until we got to the stop light. He then got behind me and tried to get away by making a right turn(stupid abilenian). I made the right turn in front of him and he followed me out onto the small freeway. We then paced each other for about a mile and then I heard him shift down into 2nd. I did the same and we continued like this for about another 1/8 mile and I got impatiant. I gave three horn beeps and we went. When I punched it my rear end broke out to the right. I think I scared him when I did this because all he saw were my headlights. Once i shifted to 3rd it was all over but the kicking and screaming. I pulled him like a bat out of hell. I think he just gave up after I had about 5 cars on him. My opinion is SRT4s suck when stock, nut my opinion could be scued a bit due to my mods. I think I'll have to see one race against another 7 that's a lot closer to stock than mine is.

How'd you know he was down shifting into second and not third or whatever?

How do you even know he was racing? It doesn't seem like he wanted to. Also, this seems to be not to impressive because your car is heavily modified. I would be impressed if your car was stock. and scre has a point, how do you know he downshifted into second?

I'm assuming it was 2nd because that's what I down shifted into after hearing his downshift. Sorry for the misleading.

Brandon: I know he was racing because when I hit the horn the third time he punched it. Also if you'd read the end of my post where I said my opinion could be scued because of the mods and that I would have liked to see it race against another 7 that's closer to stock you'd understand. Also my reasoning for saying that I'm not very impressed with them is that someone on here posted that somebody driving an fd lost to one.
