I've had a total of two people express interest in racing me while driving on the street. One was a Z06 Corvette on an empty expressway at night. Tempting, but speeds would get way out of hand before finding who was faster. Plus I had a passenger, and I have no right to risk her life.



The second time was funny. Same passenger, the other car was a Prelude with a couple of 20(?) year old guys in it. Heavy traffic, middle of the day, residential area, and this bonehead is revving at us. Since we weren't moving, my friend rolled her window down, laughed at them and said, "You know we would kill you, right?" laughed again, and put the window back up. We moved ahead, and a minute later they had to stop next to us again. The driver was so humiliated he wouldn't even look at us, but I think the passenger still wanted to race.



Moral of the story. I had a nicer car, a smokin' hot chick with me and they still didn't know how stupid they looked revving at people in their Honduh until she spelled it out for them. That guy probably hasn't done it again since.



Entering an autocross costs $25. Going to the dragstrip under the lights costs $25. WHAT THE **** IS YOUR EXCUSE???
