#1 what would win in a 1/4 mile Race all 500hp cars and driver 160lbs
gimme in order who would win 1st, 2nd, 3rd gen rx7's, wrx, porsche 911, corvette, supra, #2 now how about top speed at 2miles who will complete it at top speed and finish #3 now how about oval track |
hard call, would depend on the driver but the 911 would most likley be on top in the 2 mile run and oval

A 500 hp RX7 will destroy all of those cars in straight line acceleration. As far as the top speed 2 mile.. It's really hard to tell the FD is geared to ~200mph and at 500 hp I'm nearly sure it could come close to that.. Not sure about the other cars.. Why is this in the kills section anyway?

I know 911's will hit that I just watched a show that had them in it with that much power and they were hitting 200.

I'd say the FB would win in the acceleration category...2300lbs + 500HP = death on wheels.
I'm not sure how they would handle...I'm sure the 911 or the FD would outhandle the rest simply because of the amount of R & D they have on the other cars. |
Matters what has been to the suspension, driveline?
It is really hard to say just based on horsepower numbers. What is the point of this topic? |

with the right turbo an rx7 can have 500 ft lbs of torque too jims car put down 320hp and 318 ft/lbs. But to pull gears to 200 mph you need that torque up high as well, which a rotary or a turbocharged porche will have.
I'm thinking the 1st gen would win the 1/4 mile providing it doesn't have stock rear tires. Either the porsche or the 2nd gen for top speed, same for oval with the 3rd gen in there too. Road course fd with a competant driver. |

You can't ask who would win if they were all 500 hp. What about gear ratios? Suspension? Torque number? All these things matter.
It's like asking who would win in an eating contest if everyone was 13 years old. How fat are these kids? What are they eating? |

i say the 1st generation will win But ****** colin wants to get technical so in this case the corvette will win because we forgot to put a transmission to handle 500hp on the 1st generation happy fat **** that lives on the net

Most 400rwhp RX-7's (at least FD's) are putting down acceleration numbers close to very very very fast cars. In drag form, I will be able to put down 1/4 miles just as good (if not better) as the enzo. Something to think about. |
Dragon Motor Sports has an FD with the same motor setup I do, with a nice T-78 and other various turbo goodies. On 17 psi he ran an 11.4 UNTUNED with a dyno of 480whp. Tuned, I would estimate him run 11.2 or less with 495whp+.
Here are his mods: 17psi Street Port Greddy ball bearing T-78 Greddy 2-row FMIC Greddy E-manage/E-01 Greddy Exhaust Manifold Greddy Type-S BOV (2) Ported & Polished Intake Manifolds Full turbo-back 3" exhaust HKS Fuel pump Larger secondaries (Not sure what size) Custom built Fluidyne radiator TKT Pulleys 3mm racing Apex Seals 9.5" wide rear tires (I think) I think he's using a Pettit ECU. I'm really not sure though. |

he was being sarcastic about the supra jsut cause he doesn't like them. and yes he knows about hte 2jz-gte. 3.0 I-6 with twin sequential turbos putting out a 326 hp and 300 lbs of torque. I'm an import purist he's a v8 purist. he just doesn likt how an 800 hp supra puts down 690 lbs of torque when his motor puts out number more equivalent to each other. i just laughed at his sarcasm about the supra.
p.s. he really hated fast and the furious. |

1. Rx7- If its geared for the 1/4 no DOUBT. 10 second run potential.
2. Corvette -Best powerband, if its a z06 it will be on the 7s ass (running 10.80 or so) 3.Supra- It will get going after the 1/8 and run 12s LMAO 4. REgular WRX- Out of its class. Dragon Motor Sports has an FD with the same motor setup I do, with a nice T-78 and other various turbo goodies. On 17 psi he ran an 11.4 UNTUNED with a dyno of 480whp i've seen 450rwhp camaros run 11s weighing 3600 pounds. Broad powerband /solid rear axle. |
