well me Bigturbo74 and Iwant7 were heading out to University to peep all the cars. They decided to race as we left our work. Bigturbo74's 92' Lincoln conintental beat Iwant7's 96' Bonnevelle ssei, by like a car 1/2car length @ 50, they both stock. But this gets better, as we got to universtiy we had 4 ppl in the Bonnevile and we race a modded eclipse Turbo vert. It had exhaust and a bov for all i could tell, but he did say he had stock turbo. We only got beat by like a car length, a couple times. It was hilarous, those eclipses are pathetic!!! dude the vette is not overrated.. for the money its fast as hell and handles great... my cousin has one and it flies. and the z06 runs a 12.6 1/4 stock. one of the problems is that no one who knows how to drive has one. like 80% are sold with auto's anyway

ive been in a vette before and driven one and all i liked was the electric leather seats to me its defintly over rated but i didnt push it to hard maybe i missed out on all the fun.

i went to the dragstrip last night and saw a bone stock z06 run a 12.24

Nothing wrong with the Corvette. They're the only American car that embraced technology from the get-go. Fuel injection in the late '50's, independent rear suspension from '63 onward. The Z06 is a fine automobile, and I think its amazing that they do what they do with PUSHRODS, the only non-technologically advanced part of the car.

"American car" and "embrace technology" most definately do not belong in the same sentence. Had they really embraced technology the rotary vette would have gone beyond concept.

I'm trying to say that I think its GREAT that Chevy can do that much with a design that is inherently limited by its design. I never said anything about it compared to a rotary.

some 2002 Z06s have run 11.9s bone stock. definately a rarity but amazing nontheless.

im so tired of seeing women in camaro SSs and mustang gts. also mustang cobras. and any fast cars.

Z06's run 12.6's at 116mph that is the rated for them. I know some people will do better most will do worse....



Just like some of the mustang Cobra's and SS camaro's....



The 03 Cobra's are capable of 12.4's bone stock though several people have gotten them well into the 11's with just slicks and a throw away pulley from a lightning. But most I feel will prolly only run mid 13's due to dumb drivers....

I will admit that most of the american cars have been behind in previous years... but it looks like they are finally starting to catch up to imported vehicles quality and reliability wise. Though the fit and finish on several of the cars could be better (Corvette and Mustang in the 30k up range)

But who needs fit and finish when your fast??? lol
