I just got my friends R1 back from M2 Performance and was down at a place getting the new Power FC tunned for the car. I am sitting underneath an over pass with the tunner guy in thae passenger seat playing with settings when a guy in a Bug with a 350 Chevy engine revs hard on me as he passes. The tunner guy just says to me get him. So I get on the freeway with this guy and catch up to him we slow down to about 35mph on the freeway the guy guns it and then I hit. I figured the 350 might have a chance, guess I was wrong pulled out about 2 car lengths on it in no time. I guess all the work that M2 and I did on the car along with the tunning worked. Just though it was cool that the guy tunning the car wanted me to take this guy and I had just met him needless to say my new favorite place to tune, and they have a dyno.

350 in a Bug? You sure? Jesus... I should drop a 996 twin turbo motor into a Geo Metro and go out to the races.
Well if it was a new bug the engine compartment could not fit a 350. If it was an old bug then the engine is in the rear. So how did he work the tranny and stuff? Are you sure it wasent just a done up bug. Cause a 350 would not work no where for the huge tranny to go and how did they install the driveshafts???
put the engine in the middle
or on the roof

there was a guy in my high school that had a small block in his old beetle. Hideous contraption and I don't know if it was fast but it was loud, with half the engine hanging out the back and hanging over the back a little too.
it was an old bug, and if you saw it you would know it was a 350 with part sticking out since he didn't have the hood/trunk on. It was a 350 I am sure. It was fast, but top end wasn't there. Sorry to take so long with the reply, I have been gone the past few days.
