Fd3BOOST,

I was talking to sean last night. He lost his internet connection. He said there is a problem with the shipping of the bins. He talked to the shipping company and they said something crazy like $600. He said he will get ahold of you in the next couple of days.

Damn, that sucks.

Well, ask him if he is able to ship any of it. 'If not i guess he can just paypal me the $200 back. I might be able to get them local.

Fd3BOOST 07-14-2003 01:14 AM

Oh and thank you Igy.

Fd3BOOST 07-14-2003 01:16 AM

Oh ask him if he could contact 1bad180sx. He might be shipping some stuff to me. Maybe they could consolidate the shipment or something.

IGY 07-14-2003 11:30 PM

When I see him I'll, find out what he wants to do. It may be this weekend before I see him though.

Ok, Im standing by.

The issue with shipping them is the package is too big to send out threw USPS and that's all we have here on base to ship threw.. If he ships from the local Japanese economy the price of shipping is lets just say not cost effective. So !bad180sx won't be able to ship them as well.. The bins will probably be the only part he can't ship..

Thats fine, I can most likely get them here in the states.

Ask him if he would be able to resell the items on Yahoo auctions.

I am getting the stuff states side and our deal was never completed since I didnt recive the parts. So I would like to get my $200 back.

Ask him to contact me. I need the cash paypalled back to my account.

Ummm.. somebody needs to go to the Post office and ask about "OVERSIZED" packages because Sean (kuku STEC) shipped a bucket to Hawaii before he left Okinawa.

Fd3BOOST 07-15-2003 11:27 PM

I either need Sean to mail me the parts he can and refund me the difference. Or refund me the entire cost and try selling the parts there to get his money back.

Either way as of now, He owes me parts or $200.

1bad180sx 07-17-2003 01:53 AM

How damn big could these bins be??

Fd3BOOST 07-17-2003 01:21 PM

It's just the rear bins. I dont see why it would cost that much. They are only about 20"x 20"x 48"

Dragon 07-17-2003 03:21 PM

once you pack it in a box so that it doesn't get distroyed during shipping the box gets pretty damn big.. so lets say he packs it in a box and allows for 3"s of clearance on all sides.. we get 48 in + 3 +3 = 54 inches for the length then take your 20" add the 3 inches to each side for packing and you get 26" and take that times 4 for the distance around the box and you get 104 inches now add that to the 54 and you have a total of 158 wich is over the maximum 130 allowed.

now if he just slaps a label on it and doesn't even put it in a box you still have 20" x 20" and that comes out to 80" distance around the package + 48" long = 128 inches.. this is only 2 inches from the maximum of 130...

This is strait from :

http://postcalc.usps.gov/MailpieceDimensio...versizedpackage

Very Large Package

Use for packages when the length of the longest side plus the distance around the thickest part is more than 108 inches and less than or equal to 130 inches. Items over 130 inches are not mailable.

this is why us people in Japan can't just pick up and mail bumpers and aero kits and big crap like that threw the mail even though we are asked every day to do so.

Fd3BOOST 07-17-2003 05:06 PM

That sucks.

Someone buy a boat https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

toddp31 07-17-2003 07:35 PM

Just cut it in half..... If **** is to big or to heavy it becomes a bitch to send.

Fd3BOOST 07-18-2003 10:05 PM

Yea, at this point I just want him to send what he can.

I'll take the loss on teh cost of the bins I guess.

TheCamel 08-01-2003 03:09 AM

Dave you have been PM'd on this.

We will have this taken care of shortly folks
