As some of you know, I have the RE - FC2000 Front bumper and the RE hood. I am now looking for a widebody kit to compliment it.
I dont like the RE widebody kit so now I am searching for other options. Any suggestions?? |

If my car was fast I would make it look like this, minus the rear wing.

Unfortunatly Car # 999 is local to me and I see him at open track days Autocrosses etc..
The RE Super G kit does not look like the fron has been widened. And yes I plan on running 16x10 rims all around on her. So I need all the space I can get. I am gonna look at Mariahs stuff again. |
go ask chuck at rotary extreme. I think the re-A car is widened.... but then again i could be wrong.

hmmmmm..... - minus the park bench on the back thats pretty trick.
|
I am gonna e-mail Chuck and ask about the RE Super G kit. If it can handle a 9.5" front rim I will be all over it.
|
The Mariah is ok but i find it a lil to rounded for a car that looks better with straight lines. I like the way the line through the car continues on in the RE Amemiya fenders
|
The kit on #999 really adds to the Porsche look.

go tell rob to make some custom fibreglass fender flares and sell them at 500 bucks a pair, direct bolt on with the matching trim for S4 and S5 cars. i"ll buy a set.
|
Please not the Mariah.
I don't know what to tell you Jim, I like the RE though. You have the hood and front and any kit looks great when complete regardless of the manufasturer (except the Mariah one LOL). Feed? http://www.jt-imports.com/REFCfenderflarekit.jpghttp://www.jt-imports.com/FEEDFCflarefenderkit.jpg Okada overfenders? http://www.jt-imports.com/OkadaEngfenderfront.jpghttp://www.jt-imports.com/OkadaEngfenderrear.jpg |
no offense, but the mariah kit looks like ****
|
The RE kit is the ****. If I was loaded like Jim, I would have that kit on my TII.
|
i like the mariah fenders but not the nose. will the re nose and the mariah fenders fit together? hmm... i'd go with the whole RE kit if i had that kinda dough.
|
^^ i agree, the mariah kit is pretty awsome, but the fascia kinda reminds me of a mk3 supra. its just a little awkward. but otherwise i like it.
|
the mariah kit is so drastic the car doesnt look like a RX7 anymore
those fenders on that white car look like crap in my opinion they look like no effort was put into it at all, just flared for the sake of flaring corksport sells fenders, subtle and they give you some tire clearance |

I do like that the RE kit holds the cars original lines. Rob what wite fender do you not like? The RE. Honestly I value your opinion I actually hold it in high regard. If none of these kits what then? |
i agree with rob on basically everything. the only good thing about the re kit is that it somewhat retains some stock lines but otherwise is kinda bland on the styling. (fenders most evidently) and the mariah is like a wannabe ugly supra/ferrari. if anything i would check out the 999 car kit. i'm kinda suprised that these are all the options for widebody on the fc's. it would be shitty if you would have to do some custom work... and we all know how much you like dropping money for custom ****. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png
oh yeah, some advice that i heard, always try to see the product in person either uninstalled or installed to help make your decision. you always hear people saying that pics on the internet don't do things justice... |
I actually like the stock fenders, the corksport fenders give
you a bit more tire clearance, 30 mm I do not like the bulge on these fenders at all, if they are fiberglass they can be easily modified though https://www.nopistons.com/forums/upl...1084045888.jpg the corksport fenders arent that bad, the vent is ok, you could also 86 the vent http://www.corksport.com/content/00/...ges/602943.jpg corksport also sells some overlays, not crazy about those either but they get the job done I suppose, that red car looks nice, but too much like a 944 in my opinion, plus the guy is too local to you, you want to be different. It basically boils down to how much you want to spend to achieve your desired results. Personally, in my twisted head, I picture a old bronco with wheel flares bolted to it, I think they all look out of place |

Mariah's nose looks like a MKIII supra, sorry

didn't kamanari use to make a wide body kit for the fc?
hell don't know if they are still in business https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...R#>/unsure.png |
I still say RE for the way it holds the straight lines to the FC! Second would be the Cork Sport, and if you realy want to keep the stock lines then go FEED but your looking at $4000 for all four fenders.
