i have an old 5 channel soundstream that is brand new that i want to hookup to my infinity speakers i put in the FD but i am trying to figure out where to put it so it won't get in the way................. i'm 99% sure the speakers will sound about a billion times better when the amp is not 45x4 MAX peak watt built in my 4 year old sony head unit https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

Im sure Jay knows where to put a amp, your Sony head unit is no

45x4, trust me on that one, lol.

Hey,

I put two a/d/s amps, a coustic crossover, and a battery terminal block in my '93 rx-7. It's a bit custom, but not that difficult. I mounted a piece of plywood vertically underneath the strut brace behind the seats. I covered the wood in black vinyl, and when the front cover is on, it looks like nothing is there! Very cool. I'll send some pictures if you like.

u don't want to hide it too well because it may over heat.

i will not be maxing it out by a long shot. its powering normal speakers not subs

Have you got room in the boot somewhere, like side panel or somewhere you can stand it up right..

vosko 08-02-2003 12:02 PM

I overheated mine all of the time. I was going to build a rack in the storage bin with CPU fans on it, but then I decided to sell the car.

let me take a pic real quick, i'm really happy with my setup because it's clean and i have just one box to take out and with it comes the two subs, amp, and cap all in one nice neat package. the disadvantage is the compromise of storage space. i just pile **** on top of the bins anyway so it doesn't bother me much.
