Can some place like this do carpet for a car? Im afraid my 88 verts has had it since its last encounter with the rain and im looking at my options for replacing it. If anyone knows the details on getting this stuff done let me know. I just want something that will have a stock look and fit.

they actually sell kits for any color carpet you want online, just do a search........ i remember when i was looking around for carpet for my car, all that anyone said to me was a carpet kit is not available after 1993..... so that means they have it for your car

thanks for the tip i'll see what i can find.

I dont know of any vert carpet kits.
Carpets can take a good soaking, I wouldnt worry about it too much. |
The problem is its become discolored and nasty looking i had the same problem with the passenger side when it did this. I havent found anything that can get it out. Do you know of any good cleaners or something i could use?

you can actually achieve decent results if you:
clean the carpet with a good degreaser, then clean it with some CLR- calcium lime, rust remover- the **** stinks so be carefull. then when its dry you can touch the carpet up with carpet dye works pretty good and your total cash outlay will be like $5-$10 |

and the drivers side. This side isnt necesarily as bad as the pic makes it look its still damp right now and hastn been vacuumed. I guess i'll find out in the next few days just how bad it will be.

thats good then, the brackets and the seat mounts get so
rusty that sometimes when you take them out its very hard to get the seat bolts to tighten correctly |

Spent the day cleaning the carpet today. Took 4 hrs of scrubbing passenger side and drivers side to get them clean. This is what i used on it all.

looks pretty good, did you use a wet dry vac to suck up the
water and make sure the carpet was dry before putting the floor mats back in? you dont want to get mildew under the wet floor mat |
i let it all dry in the florida sun with the top down then re-vacuumed it all and put everything back in.
