After spending a rediculous amount of time installing and hiding a stereo in my 85 GSL, I turn it on and WOW. LOUD.

so I clean up, put everything back together, start the car to go for the first cruise of spring and my sub doesn't work. The car isn't tuned properly after my MSD install and stalls. Sub promptly comes back on.

I"M CONFUSED!!!

For amps I have a 4-channel and a 2-channel. The 2-channel is running a DVC 12" while the 4-channel does the fronts and backs on high-pass. The amps are wired EXACTLY the same, and are sharing a Remote Turn On wire. The 2-Channel powering the sub stays on even when I start the car up, but no sound comes out unless I rev the motor past 3500. The 4-channel works the whole time. The only difference between these two is that they are grounded in different places, but still to the same thing (metal of storage compartments). Is the amp drawng too much power from the alternator or what gives? How do I fix this?

ya man your not getting enough power to the subs.. try to use the biggest gage wiring to your amp as much as possible..

hink I found the problem. After rewiring half the car with nothing to show for it, I wired up a different remote turn on as a desperation move. power is back when the car is on.

I still don't understand how this could make any sense at all since the old turn ons were wired in parallel off the same circuit, one amp still fired with the car running, and I tried running just the sub by disconnecting the turn on for the 4-channel. Not to mention that the amp was actually ON!!! More proof that the laws of physics can and will be broken in order to piss me off!
