over the last few weeks i've been trying to remove all of the crappy black paint on the plastic trim pieces with alcohol and it looks great so far. but when i tried to do it to the piece that surrounds the controls (a/c, cd player, etc.) it really isn't doing much. i also have noticed little streaks of white on that one piece. can anyone who's done this tell me how you did it and what those white marks might be? also, did anyone remove that piece (as well as the piece over the instrument cluster) to do the job? i tried to remove them to make the job easier but i couldn't figure it out. someone please give me some insight here. i'm tryin to get it lookin nice before i show it off this weekend to all of the fags at a local car club.

my guess on the little streaks of white is it might be where some sort of solvent has eaten away at the plastic, without seeing I couldnt be sure. Or it could be glue?

yeah, the car club is full of rice, but my friend, who has the faastest car there, finally got me to stop by once. now i'll probably be the fastest one.
