ugh! I plan on attempting this as soon as I can save up for the buffer and the supplies, I'm going to start the sanding this week. Thxs for the write-up!

Fd3BOOST 03-09-2003 08:46 PM

Man I am glad I dont have to sand uim's anymore. I cant say that I envy your situation.

I have about two items that need to be polished but I am not looking forward to the sanding.

I like the buffing, that is the fun part.

Fd3BOOST 03-09-2003 08:51 PM

Oh I switched over to this place for supplies and I recommend their products.

They are excellent and the supplies arrived in about 2 days to my house after buying them online.

I would just get the catalog and see all the cool **** they have.

They even sell powder coating guns for under $120

93 R1 03-09-2003 09:09 PM

You aren't done sanding UIM's yet https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

BTW the powdercoating setup is real nice. A friend of mine used to have it. It did real nice work once you mastered it. And theres like 1000 colors to choose from.

Fd3BOOST 03-09-2003 09:16 PM

Proof positive I do the work myself.

Eastwood is a very good and well established company, dont hesitate to buy ANYTHING from them. They have been around a loooong time.

banzaitoyota 03-10-2003 08:57 AM

Eastwood is GOOD just EXPENSIVE AS ****!

I'll post my buffing supply link later

Rob x-7 03-10-2003 09:13 AM

I would only buy from Eastwood what you cant find anywhere else.

They sell alot of stuff that you can buy in any auto parts store, but

they also sell alot of exclusive stuff. I know alot of the paints and coatings

they sell are off the shelf things and they mark them up so they can

make a profit on it.

j9fd3s 03-10-2003 11:52 AM

well i like to buy eastwood spray paint becuase its not california paint, so it actually is good.
