>Link to CD Player<

I need a new CD player, and this one seems to have everything I need, but I've never had any experience with JVC so I don't know if its worth the money.

Anyone have this one or know of anyone that has it?

The price seems good and I don't know if it will do the same thing my Pioneer CD player did (Played for 9 months, then stoped putting out the sound, still plays everything, I can go thru all the features, but it doesn't play the sound through the speakers.)

Please let me know any info that you might have about the CD player. thanks.

I have a JVC KD-SX990 CD/MP3 Deck and like it a lot. I bought it direct from JVC Canada for $200 CAD, at the time it was about $400 retail. The deck has since come down to about $200.

At the time (I don't know if this still holds true), this model had the fastest MP3 CD scan/load time in the market. This can be important if you navigate to a folder with hundreds of songs. Navigating folders is a breeze, as the display tells you the name of it for a moment when you browse to it. It also accepts all bitrates (including VBR!) of MP3's, so you don't have to worry about compatibility issues.

The deck is plenty powerful enough for my needs, powering pairs of Rockford Fosgate 4" and 6x9" speakers. One main shortcoming for my application is the lack of a subwoofer output and control, but I got over it and just wired that part of the system differently.

Included excellent installation and operating instructions, and was a breeze to setup. Mine has a 2-year warranty. The included remote is handy for listening to tunes while I work on my car.

It's fast, easy to install, eady to use, and looks nice too. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif

jvc's products are decent for entry level...good price.

their Super Digifine line is actually a very high quality line for the price. i have the older KD-SH99 player and i prolly compares to the Pioneer 8500 which costs twice as much. 4v output, clean sound, good stuff.
