well, the last rx7 i had was manual crank windows..so i never had too much of a problem with it. but i just recently got this turbo 2 68k orig miles ;D . the car runs GREAT almost everything is perfect..but this passenger window. its so slow to roll up. it needs a hand to help push it up so it will close. any reason this is happening? my friends turbo 2 and my other friends 10ae is doing the same thing..so im guessing its not just me. any simple fix for it? thanks!

i was thinking maybe the rubber on the door panel is real tight..but dunno how to loosen it.

try greasing it up maybe.? my old mazda truck had the same problem on the passenger door.. and i changed passenger doors on it twice with the whole mechanism attached.. they all had that issue..

i think its the rubber that surrounds it..maybe i should repost this in the 2nd gen specific.

its not the rubber, you can wet the rubber and see if it makes it any slicker, otherwise the way to adjust the rubber is under the door panel......but its not the rubber

It's either the motor, or the regulator going bad

where exactally is the window regulator located? any way to tell if its one or the other? or is it more of just replacing each one? thanks cheers

window motor and regulator are one, you can try cleaning the connections, greasing the track, and even see if a local alternator/starter rebuild place will rebuild yours
