I got sick of the stock silver finish and how quickly my hawk pads dust it up. I went to Autozone and picked up a couple cans of Duplicolor wheel paint. I just took the wheels off, cleaned them with wheel cleaner and a brush. Then I dried them and masked off the sidewalls of the tires. I applied a few coats of the paint and let it dry for a couple hours. Looks much better in my opinion and changes the look of my silver fd. I'll post picks when I get back home. I am visiting family in NJ and left the camera in Texas. Hopefully this will hold me over till I save up for some real wheels.

you guys really should have done some light sanding. What we used at the bodyshop when I did my wheels was scotch-brite pads. They really get into the metal, and the corners to give a good clean, uniform surface for the paint to adhere to. Since you are in Texas most of the time though you won't have to worry about things like salt and Ice in the winter, so they should last you a while.
