damn........ anyone wanna buy rotary extreme headlights?
|
NIIIICE!
|
Yeah the $800 ish is for the light kit, but the HIDs are the $1000 ish hehe hints the $1800 ish price total. I might be able to work the price a litte.. OH OF COURSE this price includes the shipping..
I like them though, even though the price is a bit steep, I just could never get into sleek lights, except for the RE-Amemiya ones with the duct and no covers, but other then that, I like this style.... |

those are about $800? do they come painted (doubt it) ? kevin |
There is no paint needed. The fiberglass housing around the light comes in black. Unless you wanted to mach your cars paint or something then that is a different story.
I have a set, when I get them on in the spring I will post some pics. Shawn |
Does anyone know if you can get the JDM dual pop-ups by knightsports for an fc3s. I have seen them but never fore sale.
|
Mazdapower---Threw me
Mazdabation---Thanks, beat me to it again. Teknics---Like Mazdabation said, the only thing that you would possibly want to paint would be the black part if you dont like black for some reason. The light covers are off your car. |
Also yeah that was a double post, I dont know what happened there, maybe a glitch?

i'm dreamin' of a light kit that uses the stock top covers which can be removed easily at night...like the c-west except a lower profile so the covers could fit on top. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/boink.gif oh well, i also dream of intake pipes for stock twins (like M2) in carbon fiber-look. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/blink.png |
Are those DOT legal?
|
If you can get the dual pop-ups for the fc3s, could you maybe get me some pics and a price because the don't appear on your site...

It looks like the same spot light pattern as the non-HID which is never meant to be a low beam. You can't see anything on the sides. I still like mine a lot better with much wider spread and best of all, the Hella lights I use are DOT approved. http://www.rotaryextreme.com/product...ightbeam-3.jpghttp://www.rotaryextreme.com/product...ightbeam-5.jpg For $1800, you can get the Rotary Extreme headlight kit with both the low beam and high beam in HID and I can guarantee you that it will be 200% brighter than the Knight Sports one. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png Chuck |
Just in case you are wondering why I know how much the Knight Sports headlight kit suck, I imported a set for my friend before.
http://www.rotaryextreme.com/kslight1.jpg http://www.rotaryextreme.com/kslight2.jpg He had to change the IPF lights to the CATZ MSC just to imporve the lighting a bit. Chuck Huang |
no offense to you chuck but this is sort of bad business to be invading another sponsors post saying how your product is superior.
again no offense, but its like trying to steal customers....start up a new post about your kit and compare it to knightsports, dont invade a post started by another sponsor. this of course is my own opinion, and i am not a mod, so whatever. kevin. |

I am just sharing my personal experience with the potential buyers. Imagine if you buy one and thinking it's all great and find out it's not as great as you think, would you wish that someone who has seen the light in person to share his experience with you? It's not like I am trashing the products based on nothing. I think my honest opinion helps the buyers to make the right decision. Chuck Huang |
I want to apologize to JT-Import (Jason) that I might have sounded like an ass.
Let me make a useful suggestion. Jason, you should suggest Knight Sports to stop using the old style IPF lights and instead, use the same one RE Amemiya uses on their H11 light kit. That one has much better light spread for the low beam. The old style IPF lights are spot lights so no matter how bright you make it, it's still a spot light and the beam pattern is not going to change no matter what kind of bulb you put in there. If they can do that for you, your customers who buy the light kit will be much happier than receiving the old style IPF lights. Chuck Huang |
amen chuck!!

Chuck Huang [/quote] yea i see that point of view, like i said, no offense intended by my comments i was just saying cause i mean you come in "that product is bad, here's mine go buy it instead" ya know? but i do see you're simply providing your past experiences with the product and such and that is very good to people who may be intersted in this kit. hopefully it doesnt feel like i stepped on your toes, but thats just how i interpretted it ya know? and also like i said i aint a mod, i dont make rules i dont enforce rules, so it was just my opinion. and on the other side of things your light kit is killer as an alternative to pop-up lights. kevin. |
Teknics--Thanks man.
Chuck--No comment haha, its all good. I wish I had the chance to talk to Knightsports about a lot, but they werent at the AUTO SALON last year the cheeze logs. I like the look of the Knightsports, I just dont like sleek lights and a lot of other people dont like them either. The HID sure does brighten it up though. I mean you can put a HID in your stock lights for the cheapest of ALL. I like the look of the 2 bulbs, like the sleek lights, but I just dont like that people can see your lights day or night. Its like driving with no light covers, or having a clear gas cap cover, it just doesnt turn my wheel. Like kits are light kits. I just put this out since a customer brought it to my attention and I guess there was a thread about it over at RX7club too, so I was just putting out the info and as much as I can help you with... Good luck guys HAPPY MOTORING!! SEE A LOT OF YOU IN JUNE! |
They're nice, but $1800!!!
|
They don't look bad.. but I like my pop-up lights. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png
|
Yeah I wish I could bring the price down, but thats not much option unfortunatly. The HID is what costs the money. You could probably get the
kit and buy a cheaper HID unit in the states. Other then that, the only other way to bring the price down, would be to GB it. |
I like the KS kit alot! I would have snathed them quick if it was only $800. They do have a spot light pattern but fog lights can offset that, so it didn't bother me. I don't care about HID high beams, rather save money and leave them regular. There's also the flash to pass delay problem with them in high beam, isn't there?
I would like to see th RE-A kit with the air duct in HID. Again, I could either loose both high beams or just have one regular one. You use the high beam about 1% of the time, unless you live in the country but then the HID would be enough allready. If I were to switch to non-popups, I would want the CWest kit in HID. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/boink.gif |
