mp3 player?

I second that. What works for me cause I'm on a budget is to find a cheap headunit that has an auxillary output and hook that up to a 3.5mm jack so I can use a portable mp3 player. Not as flash, but the sound quality is up there.

you can also run an mp3 player through one of those cassete adapters if you have a cassette player

i bought an alpine that plays wma's i get like 300 songs on a regular cd

treceb 11-10-2005 09:52 PM

yeah looks like ill just end up putting an mp3 capable cd deck....sucks

Seriously if you're on a budget you don't need to settle for that, the ones with auxillary inputs are not more expensive they're just not as popular.

What about satellite radio? Is that still cool?

djgiantrobot 11-11-2005 11:55 AM

if you do get one, make sure its compatible with US windows. Mine only seems to work with japanese windows so the LP functions are all but useless.

Any head unit that can be conencted to a CD changer can be conected to an iPod with some aftermarket/3rd party dock connector compatible cable sets/kits that let you change the songs stored on teh iPod as if you were browsing through a CD collection.

Very nice alternative for carrying around a stack of minidiscs https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

Unfortunately teh iPod mini has been discontinued which means that it will be a bit more difficult to find an iPod that suits the colour ouf your car :(
